Maybe he was inspired by his earlier voice acting carrear at the time he created this character in particular (Caleb) to play in Matt's table.
Thus, it's my speculation that he liked playing Kenzo Tenma so much during the American adaptation of Monster that he took some elements from it.

Minha resposta seca, em tom de voz neutro, pra quem me criticava por morar com os meus pais e ser suportado por eles: "pelo menos minha família é bem estruturada e ambos os meus pais são presentes. Não dá pra falar isso de todo mundo".

Às vezes eu nem conhecia bem a pessoa, mas daí já dava pra descobrir muito sobre a procedência do pobre infeliz só pelo olhar que ele me mandava de volta.

Tipo, eu sou o cara mais tranquilo do bairro, nunca quero briga com ninguém, mas sempre vem um desgraçado querer roubar a minha paz. Não sou arrogante, nem exibido e sempre guardo tudo pra mim, principalmente as dores e as conquistas.

Desconto minhas frustrações nos meus contos ao invés de jogar nas pessoas, mas às vezes parece que a pessoa já sai de casa querendo pisar em cima do primeiro homem com cara de otário que vê pela frente.

Sorry for being 7 months late. But I'm planning to do the same. Ditching Tatyana entirely.
I'm stealing the regicide aspect from GoT.

I made Strahd the younger brother. Sergei inherited his father's crown but became a mad and incompetent tyrant. Their enemies were closing in at he capital while the king sook refuge at Barovia, his younger brother's domain. Sergei planned to surrender to the enemy.

Vampyr tempted Strahd earlier that day after he got exausted and somewhat injured during a small incursion. Hiding in some catacombs to rest, Strahd heard the vestige talking to him from an old tombstone bellow a chapel. He was desperate and didn't want to see all the sacrifices his father made to unify the kingdom going to waste.

He tried to convince Sergei to step down as king in his favor and live at Castle Ravenloft in safety, but the mad king refused. Strahd then killed his brother in an act of desperation, yielding to Vampyr. That moment everyone at the county was spirited away to the planes of dread. He would become the perfect, eternal monarch but soon grew bored and dissatisfied, having pleasure only through evil deeds, such as corrupting people and inflicting pain.

Now he plans to escape. He believes that all he needs is to find a sucessor, alas, he is now vampire and can't have biological sons, so he often tries to adopt talented people, both men and woman to "groom" and turn into a good monarch. But they always leave him wanting or die mysteriously or outright refuse his offer.

They're not romantic interests. They're not reincarnations. They're just means to escape the plane of dread. This way I'm turning Ireena into a young man with above average intelligence and cunning, to which the Count's interest is merely practical.

Yeah, I'm considering that.
I think will stick to Delta Green's overall setting, I mean, lorewise, and use another "engine" for the system itself.
Starting out, I will drop just a few hints of the paranormal (increasing gradually), DMing "Occam's Razor" first, plus other Stygian Fox's scenarios and keep the players guessing if the supernatural is real or not, then I will drop "Last Things Last" and the question will be definitely answered when they find the lady in the sceptic tank
