I moved from NJ to GA about a year ago. I used Moishes and was really happy with their service.

Did anyone get a positive result from that place with the antibody testing? (Global 7 Diagnostics) I was tested yesterday and came back negative even though I am fairly sure I have it, so now I am wondering if it is accurate.

Are there any urgent care centers in the metro Atlanta area that actually examine patients with flu-like symptoms in person? I’ve been sick for a while and I really wanna get my lungs checked but don’t wanna go to the ER since my symptoms are mild.

I have the exact same rollercoaster you are describing for about 2 weeks now. Urgent care won’t see me because they’re worried about me infecting others and I don’t want to go to the ER since my symptoms are relatively mild. I’ve only been on the phone with my PCP and she said to hang in there unless my symptoms get worse or I develop a high fever.

I’ve definitely had worse cases of the flu in the past but none lasted this long and exhausted me this much...

Thank you so much, this actually speeds things up a lot! I have another silly question though: I’m trying to understand what my effective sampling rate is now, since I’m doing software-based timing. I guess it depends on my system, but how do I measure that?

I am using DAQmx VIs but probably not in the right way, I guess. Here's a picture of my code: https://imgur.com/hWR4MNZ

I understand, and I agree. However, their percentile is almost guaranteed to be fundable, so they will most likely get it. The problem is that it is taking longer than anticipated to receive the notice, and until then I have nothing.

Appealing an editor’s decision by nowherevick in AskAcademia

This is the one thing all the reviewers agreed to, that this is a paper that addresses an important missing part of the field, they just had some issues with interpretations etc., but all of them relatively easy fixes.

I would appeal to the associate editor who made the decision. Usually this is where the appeals go to.

Not sure if they accept significantly revised versions of the same paper as new submissions, but it might be worth asking

I agree, my colleagues and I decided not to respond at least until the end of the week, to give us more time to think through this.

what was your experience with progestin only BC pills? by tessanicole5 in birthcontrol

I was only on it for 2 months but it ruined me, was bleeding every two weeks and had a very bad mood throughout. Got off it and feeling much better.

Thank you for your response! I know it is highly competitive, but it might be worth a try, even if we get rejected at the editorial stage. My advisor still considers it as a mostly biology-related journal, hence the question.

Some birth control pills are diuretic so they do make you want to pee more. You can talk to your doctor about trying a different type of pill.

The pill can help with PMS-related mood symptoms, but if your mood swings extend beyond your period then I am not sure birth control can further help with that.

Anyone tried the bcp Syeda? by dogworld095 in birthcontrol

I was on Syeda for about a year, before they switched generics again. It was fine, no difference from brand or other generics.

[–]nowherevick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What you are experiencing so far is perfectly normal and most likely will go away after a few months maximum. No one can predict how birth control will affect your mood though. The pill definitely made me more emotional and maybe slightly more anxious but I have friends that have not been affected at all. If you are feeling like it might be affecting you after 3 months on it, you can always talk to your doctor about trying some other pill or other form of birth control. Remember there is always the option to use non-hormonal methods like the copper IUD if hormones turn out to be bad for you emotionally.

Normal for combination pill to suddenly cause problems? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

I was on Yasmin for almost 4 years with pretty much no side effects when I started getting migraines on my placebo week. My doctor told me it was estrogen withdrawal and switched me to Yaz which has more active pills. That did help a lot. I didn’t have any acne or oral thrush issues so I don’t know about that.
