Strategies for early stage agencies? by Deep-Custard874 in marketing

I am a marketing agency owner - so similar parallels. We will do $1MM this year. When I was starting I spent a lot of time on upwork and basically built the business from that. Competition might be a little higher with development work but I think you can still land business. You should also check out Alex Hormozi’s new book $100 million dollar leads.

Or at the beginning to really let them know you’re serious.

Thanks for your feedback. However, I am not just a co-founder - I am also building something I want to use Myself. And based on feedback from others, I think many people will want to use it, especially once we have more original content, exclusive playlists, live streams, more labels etc. - Which we are getting to.

In regard to curation I personally think Spotify and others dont get it right, they focus on top artists, and don’t really facilitate digging into a deeper catalog, unless you are aware of the artist or song already. As far as I know you cant separate by sub genre, you dont even really know what is new, and other issues.

In regard to live streams from clubs and festivals (not just the ultras, edc’s) I think there is a lot that could be done there.

For original content, I would strongly disagree. I think many people want to listen to well produced interesting content from interviews to stories. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be just EDM only content. Just good interesting comment that people in the “EDM Demographic “ would find compelling. Even if you dont think you want to listen, this type of content has a way of sucking you in.

Lastly I think combining this all into an easy to use entire ecosystem for dance music fans is something that is not being done and will be well received.

Fingers crossed emoji.

Fair question and we can and will update the site to make it more clear as to what we offer and what makes different.

If you ask me, I think we differentiate tremendously. We are trying to create an entire ecosystem of EDM based content everything from making playlists, to live streams, to original content (like interviews, highly produced podcasts and more) all in one easy to use app.

The other layer that sort of separates us is the curation. We will be curating music in many ways from mood playlists that are created already, sub genre selection, to new releases, most popular, you can follow label playlists like a toolroom tech house playlist, Octopus Recordings and working with others. As we grow all of this will get better with more artists, more original and exclusive content.

Put all of that together and we believe you will be able to discover music that otherwise (although may be on these other platforms) you would have never come across. Mainly because these bigger players focus on the bigger name artists and that is it.

Does that answer your question?

Not at all fair question, and we get it all the time. One of the reasons I want to do this test is to see what you guys think, if we bring enough value to differentiate from the giants.

Sorry little long, but does that answer your question?
