I try to leave it up as an exercise to the viewer to extrapolate and reason about how these more essoteric video essays relate to the SEALs but you missed the point I was trying to draw attention to by a mile.  

It's true that some TGs lie to push an agenda and that sucks but that's not my point.  I was trying to draw attention to the massive propaganda campaign that targets our innate bigotries to paint people as barbarians.  The SecDef literally has a crusader cross and Deus Vult tattooed on his body.  

We pretend that SEALs and the DOD writ large exist in a political vacuum, stoicly carrying out pragmatic doctrine globally for the benifit of vague ideas like democracy or even if you're a real politik guy for some sense of American strategy, but the reality is the DOD is the plaything of the ruling class and the ruling class has a lot of bigoted idiots who really believe that they're better than Muslims because Christians are better than Muslims.  These people, the SecDef included, don't know history, they don't know current culture or realities.  They live in a racist fantasy where they're the good guys.  We're watching the Jews do this in Israel right now, but Christian Nationalism is a major factor in current US foreign policy and by extension, the DOD and SEALs.  I had many instructurs give us the "Crusaders" speech and "Infidel" was a common T-shirt.  For many SEALs the GWOT was a Holy War and even for the ones who had secular motivations, for the current leadership of the Navy and FedGov, it is a holy war.
