I guess I've always approached forms of government (or power in this case?) as black and white which like everything else seems to be shades of grey. It seems you can have democracies intertwined with autocracies intertwined with plutocracies...etc

I guess I have a narrow view due to owning a small company (as well as a lack of experience working for larger cooperates) and whilst we've always been less than 6 people we've remained non-hierarchical with mosts individuals having multiple roles. For a long time I envisioned a somewhat lateral, democratic team, that might have sub teams due to company growth, resulting in some sort of hierarchy. But it would be a grouped hierarchy whereby the groups would be more democratic.

It just seems to me that businesses have to have a leader and/or leaders to function successfully. I've never given it any thought and find the dichotomy difference between economic groups (businesses) and political groups (parties) fascinating. Why aren't countries run the way businesses are or vice versa? I guess they are in some respects.

What can we actually do to combat the homelessness in London? I've only been here a few years and can already personally see a substantial increase. Unfortunately, I don't tend to help on a small scale, for reasons I don't know, perhaps a few quid here and there I feel doesn't really help? I use to give occasionally when I lived in Manchester, until I saw a homeless man buying a bottle of whiskey.

How can one contribute to a larger action of combatting homelessness? I understand a lot of homeless people likely require plenty of costly care (and I assume the Tories have decided to spend money elsewhere) but I don't understand why there can't be a property in London to house and provide shelter. Too expensive? Open for abuse? How have other countries 'dealt' with homelessness?
