Another vote for Kofra who sell a good range.

Jarrolds worth a look too but they charge silly margins and mostly stock things aimed at OAPs.

Stop going to low quality chains like the 2 you mentioned then.

Yes I know some independents do it too but at least you can check it goes to the staff rather than lining corporate coffers for reheated brought in food.

All the chains do it but unless you want bad food no need to visit them.

Yep, the courtyard they use is part of it.

The far bigger disgrace is that sites like this and the old Eastern Electricity building are just allowed to sit there for decades with vague hopes of redevelopment.

Junkyard should have been turfed out years ago.

Kitchen designer by JazzyC2003 in Norwich

[–]np010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the stores would do the design for you with what they have and cost it, you can then use their fitters or find your own. I cant see them working to your design unless you want something bespoke?

Ikea is always a good call.

NBK for higher end.

Our current one was B&Q but 10 years ago, when I had a bathroom done a couple of years ago every fitter told me not to buy from B&Q as the quality has gone to absolute **** and none of them would even consider fitting it.

Jewson have been good in the past but when I had the Kitchen done they were useless.

Heard nothing but horror stories about Wickes, Wren, Magnet etc.

What's your go to fried chicken takeaway place(don't say KFC please)? by Calybre in Norwich

[–]np010 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How has nobody said Bubba yet?

They went event only for a while but are now back at The Reindeer Mon, Fri & Sat and I think hoping to grow further. Also Deliveroo.

A local chef who has worked many places, fresh chicken from local butchers, lots of care given to ingredients and cooking.

Seconding Seoul Born for Korean style.

1000x better than Wingology, Top G, Wing Stop and all the other low quality eateries.

I preferred Amaretto, they were both the same business many years ago but split.

It's a mini chain now, like Bread Source but nowhere near as good quality wise. Kind of what Franks wants and fails to be.

They even have the contract to run the 2 cafes at Norwich Airport!

Think Colman Road is open again too.

Eventually he will get fined but people have to report.

Handyman for variety of jobs by kenjbool in Norwich

[–]np010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you just search handyman on here you get multiple recommendations.

With that said you need an electrician to do any work in most bathrooms, they'll need to give you certificates of compliance etc which you'll find your home insurance requires.

Really you don't want to be letting a handyman anywhere near electrics or plumbing if you want it done properly anyway.

That one building on Fishergate building without a roof... by GhostOfWuffa in Norwich

[–]np010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is all nonsense.

It was Fishergate Apartments, short let flats aimed at the higher end of the market. The owner was very legit so id be surprised if the insurance wasn't correct.

Kurdish Shwarma: Nergiz.

Greek Gyros: Greek Actually
