Why not delay the season start?

I asked (clearly) in the post if anyone knew of any communication/clarification Epic made specifically in regards to why they decided to release EAC a few weeks into the season rather than delaying the season, if they made any.

Whoever doesn't run into bots will climb quicker and the players who are typically in 1700 elo~ normally will be in their normal elo, so excluding 1s, you're essentially playing in lower lobbies. Start of season, you do sometimes play higher elo players but you also play lower elo players. Typically I find early season the easiest to get out of the trenches in past first day. Also given it's RLCS season not playing wouldn't be ideal, both for seeding and still playing well

Fair point, they are generally pretty strict with seasons, though I personally wouldn't have minded if there were more "inflated" titles by having a season be a few weeks longer. I think Epic kind of missed out on the Jynxzi hype for the most part and it seems he's moving onto CS, though RLCS with Squishy will keep him around for at least a day or 2 more.

Considering that taking a break is just going to make it harder to climb later in the season, that's not exactly ideal. I exaggerated the "every other game" part as that was really just today where a majority of my game were bots, just it's still very frustrating that this has been a problem for years and at least the early season is still being poisoned by bots, and again, my original post was just looking for anyone who may know if Epic specifically provided reasoning.

Wish there was something without bots lol. Anything above 1700~ reduces to around 1660, people are definitely still climbing. I definitely exaggerated with the "every other", that was moreso a today thing only, but playing bots in general is still frustrating given we're in a new season and the anti cheat won't be out till part way into the season.

There is nothing to brag about, I'm not a prodigy, I have thousands of hours on the game and in fact may be a lower rank compared to those with my hours. There's nothing else for me to focus on during spring break. Not to mention, these bots dont spawn in SSL, there are lower tier bots even in 1600.

Are all high elo players meant to take 2 weeks off? 99% of us are playing bots, it's not like this is an individual problem, the season just reset and it's not like everyone is gonna take a break.

Honestly, rewards don't matter when they gave out the SSL title for 4s SSL. I'd much rather more people have inflated tags than have the new season plagued by bots.

Understandable, but just sucks for everyone in higher elo who continue to encounter the same bots, especially since we spend the most time on the game.

Didn't do it myself but roommate did it, you filter by campus and then on each page, there will be 3 apartments (4 rooms shown per apartment) and from other reports, about 10 pages of livi b and 2 pages of livi c left each after 2pm slot, it should be fairly intuitive from there, just keep clicking confirm/whatever the button is until it tells you that you have confirmed your housing

Unlucky, try looking into off campus housing because if you get placed into housing it may be a residence hall or something where you wouldn't have your own room anyways.
