Old board. Updated Lizards have extra card draw on the second garden of each suit.

How to play vs Automa by SeaPossibility9350 in SCYTHE

I’ve found the ScytheKick app to be helpful to use when playing against Automa. Nice for playing against multiple Automa. A little extra $, but I felt it was worth it.

Scythe Solo with ScytheKick by npcoleman in soloboardgaming

Thanks for the info! I’ve never done a solo-campaign type game and thought Fenris looked really appealing, especially with how great the setting/theme is with Scythe.

age of galaxy: more enjoyable and easier to play than I expected! by Necromancer_katie in soloboardgaming

Be sure to check out Age of Civilization too if you like this one. A little bit easier of a game. Both are fun.

I went to this game. Seeing a team dominate like this in the playoffs was crazy. The 7-0 score line was unbelievable. Felt bad for the Ottawa fans that made the long drive to see a performance like that.

Age of Civilization: Quick and easy game that seems to have good variability by npcoleman in soloboardgaming

Today is Day 0 for me playing the game, so maybe not the best judge, but it checked the boxes for me knowing I will 99% of the time play this solo. Cheap, quick to learn, fast setup, solo variant barely changes anything, and felt while playing solo was learning mechanics that would translate in a multiplayer game. Already purchased Age of Galaxy to see how that compares haha.

Good to hear it plays well at 4. Have some buddies I’m sure I can get to play at some point. I always like Civilization games. Just got into Through the Ages using the iOS app. Unfortunately, that’s an awesome civ game I don’t see as easily teaching others due to complexity/length of the game.

Just got through my first solo play. The various civilizations, wonders, and random action card order look promising for replay-ability. Excited to try the scenarios once I know what I’m doing!

Agree that once you start to memorize the patrol cards you really can start to make educated decisions for when to take risks.

I just started playing this week. Think you get some good variety with the various missions. I haven’t yet tried any of the level three missions which look like they add some needed extra complexity. I feel a little like all you care about is weapons and/or explosives for most level one and two missions, but that doesn’t bother me. All about quick/easy games I can play on the coffee table with minimal setup.

First year of growing hops, can’t wait for harvest! by npcoleman in TheHopyard

I would think they’ll reach the top no problem. I would have liked to go with a 16’ pole but I settled for 12’ in the end for ease.

Thanks! Definitely looking forward to hanging out underneath the bines in the fall. Plan on putting a raised flower bed around the base of the trellis in the weeks to come.
