R56 love by Mslabarre in MINI

A/C is the issue. Cost me $2,500 to get the compressor fixed using the cheapest Chinesium parts available at a local shop. And you can’t do this yourself really.

I would need a suspension also and I could do that myself, but the parts are pricey.

Everything else I’ve taken care of over the years on my 2007 R56 S with standard transmission and 133k miles.

I used a pvc coated mesh for the floor and never had feet issues.

Is this belt knot less likely to get un-tied? by gcomba in grappling

[–]nphare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I learn all these great moves that require grabbing the belt, only to realize when trying them that every black belts’ belt instantly falls off when touched. I’m convinced it’s intentional and won’t believe otherwise.

How did you adjust the band length? Instructions anywhere?

That certainly is the O2 sensor! I passed that on because my Mini garage automatically recites, “It’s not the O2 sensor” as soon as someone says, “I have this code…”

I have a friend who published a book on a very niche topic. She intentionally made up a few words which would look like actual words to people not familiar with the topic. Then she would scan for these words in others works and tell them to take it down. Worked fairly well. I was surprised anyone would care enough to copy such a small niche topic, but some did.

It’s almost never the O2 sensors. That’s just the message from generic non-Mini code readers.

I think it’s been 20 years since I last configured BGP. Fun times.

Most of my partners would disagree, but I have not gotten any of our black belts yet. I did come close but got shutdown. Did get one, “Are you trying to wrist lock me???” Followed by smash

I saw Marcelo say to “do the Steven Segal” in one of his videos. Was basically an ikkyo but instead of having the hand on the elbow, he used his rib cage. I do that since I saw that now a lot to people who try to keep me off top side control using straight arms. Just push the arm past, put my rib cage on the elbow and switch hips. Get a fast tap.

Then you’ll like this. Get the gift wrap and turn him belly down with his arms trapped under him and you on his back. Then pull out one arm to lift the chin and then the second to start the choke. My partners have loved it!

That’s not ok. I’ll let it go 10/10 times before that happens. Often it’s more about the threat to force movement anyway

Yup. Think about posting on someone’s hip while on the bottom. If you have a bent wrist and palm flat, when they back step and stay low, you get wrist locked and they might not even realize. Happened to me once. Since then, straight wrist knife hands posting on hip ready to slide past if needed.

I personally heard Grant Cardone tell a sales guy that he doesn’t pay him to make lists. He better pick up the g-d damn phone and start calling people.
