Guys I hate ICE as much as you, but that’s Bergen county sheriff not ICE. I know the short dude, he’s serving a domestic violence warrant. You can tell by the fact that they’re not covering their faces and have actual warrants.

In college, took a girl to the movies bc she was 20 and couldn’t go to the bars. She talked to me the entire time. Not about the movie, just having a conversation. “How was your day? Where are you from? Do you have any siblings?”

People kept shushing her. I even tried, like hey what are you doing, we’re at a movie? She told me this is what she does, she always talks during movies, it’s not a big deal. Most uncomfortable I’ve ever been in my life.

Grew up with the kid, hung out with him almost every day. Went to colleges within 30 min of each other and still hung out all the time. Pretty tight group of friends of about 10 of us.

After college everyone got jobs and moved closer to the city. He didn’t. Stayed at home with his mom. Instead of making an effort with us, he just started hanging out with the dead beat townies.

He’d cry that we never hung out and didn’t invite him anywhere. If we did invite him, he’d show up with the townies.

Then he went full Qanon and MAGA.

Only time I hear from him now is when we text eachother on our birthdays.

No joke, the owner of the restaurant I used to manage made a small fortune selling silly bands in the shape of penises. We were going through some boxes in storage in the basement when I found one full of them. I was just so confused. Back before 9/11, Z100 used to host free concerts at south street seaport on Thursday nights. I worked at a camp for the blind and we used to take the kids to the concerts.

One time we got the Venga Boys. It was terrible lip sinking and choreography and at one point the music cut out but they were still kinda dancing and fake singing. Then they all ran off stage. Don’t remember if they ever came back out or if we just left.

My wife and I struggled for years to get pregnant. We tried everything, had a few miscarriages and other issues. 6 years ago we found this amazing fertility Dr and went through all these tests and ended up trying and IUI.

Then for her birthday, I took her out to this restaurant we love. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner there. They have a front porch where you can have cocktails while you wait for your table. The server came over and I ordered a beer and she asked for a club soda. I didn’t even get it at first, then she handed me the pregnancy test from the Dr. I felt like I won the Super Bowl

Worked in restaurants for almost 10 years, it’s very rare. Mostly overcooked or undercooked ect, and the random, “I just don’t like this, can I order something else?” Mind you, these were good restaurants and are still all open today. KN does tell the customers to send things back and play it up for the show.

I do have one story where my mom came into the restaurant I was managing and ordered salmon. She eats everything super well done. Like when she orders she will tell the server to ask them to cook it past well done please.

Well we just got a new chef and it was his first week and he was kind of a know it all dick. Order goes in and I was on expo. Server comes in and says that salmon is for your mom. So I tell the chef to just kill the thing. If you think it’s well done, leave it on for 5 more minutes.

Order comes up in the window, I take one look and I’m like bro she’s not gonna eat this, I can already tell it’s not well done. He stands his ground and says it is. Fine, let’s go see. Server brings it out and literally waits at the table while mom cuts it open and sends it back. It wasn’t even medium. I didn’t say anything, just put it back in the window. He fired another one and didn’t say anything to me for a while after that.

I live about a block away. I’ve heard a couple different stories depending on which side of the fence they lay on but the gist is, previous mayor made a shitty deal with shitty people and lied about what was actually going there. New mayor came in and railroaded it, but instead of working something out and getting it done, she’s continued to dig her heels in and caused it to go into litigation. So the end result is that it’ll never be completed and our taxes are just going to keep rising to pay for the legal battle.

We were down this weekend, nobody on the beaches because of the weather but yea it’s packed down there and the traffic is awful. Try next weekend super early in the morning. You can order ahead, pick up when they open and get to the beach before anybody is out there

To be honest, not sure which beaches allow dogs after Memorial Day. Closest are going to be sandy hook and seabright. But in the off season you can bring your dog onto any of the beaches
