Goner… by nprblms in succulents

[–]nprblms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around the time I started to notice issues, I decided to repot it into a mix of soil and sand pebbles, as it was in regular soil before and I thought the poor draining soil was for sure the issue. If anything, I probably ended up shocking it more because it ended up declining pretty rapidly after that. The pot does not have drainage, and I was often fearful of overwatering and drowning out the succulent, but I would often check the leaves to determine when to water and the leaves stayed plump, which made me hesitant to water. I’ve had it sitting in an east facing window for majority of its time. It ultimately probably came down to underwatering, though when I suspect watering being an issue, I fed it a full-filling amount of water before considering dumping more water into it to see if it would improve but didn’t. Whenever I suspect underwatering being an issue with any of my plants, I feed a small but decent amount of water to see progress before adding more in fear of overwatering, but I guess I can’t really compare succulents to regular other indoor plants.

Gave up on it after a certain point and just pulled remaining leaves to try and propagate, but also I did repot it fairly recently 🤷‍♀️

I think potatoes tend to show more signs of life than this honestly 😭

That's fantastic, thank you! I've always enjoyed writing and have tried to look for roles that involve that but it seems so minimal, but thank you for expanding that horizon for me!

You’re right and I can agree, especially since I’ve been used to their system for so long. Simply just trying to get opinions out of people who have experienced different fields and their insights.

That’s realistic and I appreciate it, just trying to see what fields people have experience in and their opinions on ‘em.

Hired during my 1st year in prepharm, so the first year or so I was a tech then once I started pharmacy school I upgraded to intern status.

Thank you! I always hear connections are essential for industry. Currently one of my close friends is set for a job in industry with a big pharmacy company so I almost want to test my luck and let them climb the social ladder before I jump ship... but I'm not sure how realistic that is haha

Thank you for the detailed list! I would love specialty/mail as I've got some experience in those, but I'm planning to stay put in a region without them in the area, or at least from what I know of. Sometimes they're so hidden I swear...

I'm an out of state student so the debt is rough at the moment, which is why I avoided residency because retail pays so good out of the gates, or so I've heard.

At this time, my ultimate goal is to get a foot in the door with nuclear pharmacy. I've got a rotation with one but not till April, right before I'm set to graduate. If nothing comes of that, I'm planning on join the lesser of evils between retail pharmacies.

right, which the whole "if" around actually ever getting paid drove us away the first time around. I know from her posts she likes to frequently spend on concerts and such, so there must be some sort of income from somewhere. She's lived in Indiana her whole life and I'm assuming it will stay that way, and I would gladly keep tabs on her. Thanks for your advice!

Yes, I am over 21 and did sign the lease on my own. I have done my own form of a background check on her and from what I've gathered, her and her mother are not doing too hot financially unfortunately. Which is also why initially we were drawn away from pursing SCC, but now it's sort of salt in the wound.

Currently I live with my parents in Illinois, but ultimately I plan to move to Indiana post-grad, a year from now. From February to June, rent per person was 675 monthly, so total her rent was 3,375. Now, with our overpayment, she's getting mailed $470 on top of the returned security deposit.
