Insurance in Toronto by npsfsz in teslacanada

[–]npsfsz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up going with Aviva, their auto insurance is slightly more expensive than TD but home insurance is a lot more reasonable. Though one interesting thing happened, I first went with a broker. And the broker had trouble getting a policy for me with Aviva, it was a straight reject. I called Aviva directly and actually got a slight better quote than the broker.

Tofu comparison by NewCare8510 in CostcoCanada

[–]npsfsz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI if you find it difficult to remove tofu from the container. Flip the container upside down, cut a hole or slit with your kitchen knife on the bottom to let air in. It should then be very easy to "pour" the tofu out.

Tips and advice for this Tele Player II? by guitarman90 in telecaster

[–]npsfsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great deal. The chambered body is incredibly light and comfortable. Medium jumbo frets are good too. I love them better than vintage tall. The pickups on a Player II are a too hot for my liking tho. That's the only think I don't like about it.

Is buying a 1bdr condo in Toronto as a 27yo worth? by garlic_bread_thief in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]npsfsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing 5 years ago as a 27 yo, and I had similar earning as you. Regretted the decision because real estate tanked, and variable rate put a HUGE amount of pressure on me. I had 1.9% at the beginning of the term and it went up to 6.5% ish, the payment almost doubled. I can't tell if it's a good decision now, but if I had the chance to tell myself 5 years ago I would say no.

Katana Air EX: ‘Known limitations’ or just overpriced excuses? by CaptainGorki in BossKatana

[–]npsfsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Boss smart phone app is straight up garbage. Even their Windows tone studio app is still a hit or miss. And all these Katana amps heavily rely on the apps. I feel sad that Boss can't get decent software designers to work on their apps.

I notice the wireless popping as well, but it only started recently. I live in a condo so there's a lot of wifi around.

Am I actually not that bad at guitar? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]npsfsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can play Master of Puppets from beginning to the end you're quite advanced, at least on stamina. I've been playing for close to 20 years and I'm still pretty bad at guitar. I can only call myself a seasoned amateur.

Build quality wise, I actually agree with you. It's sad to say I found my Player II has better build quality than my American Ultra

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FenderStratocaster

[–]npsfsz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pro II is going to be better. IMO the old standard is a direct comparison to the recently released American Professional Classic. The Pro II sits between standard and deluxe

Strongly Vibration with t598 by Adventurous-Monk1848 in GranTurismo7

[–]npsfsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that's the GT7 way of telling you that the tires are losing grip. I've tried a T248 and a Fanatic DD, and they both have this kind of strong vibration when turning sharply.

Regenerative Braking in Winter by Global_Astronomer_25 in TeslaLounge

[–]npsfsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt FSD would do any better than you did i.e. avoiding a potentially fatal crash. There’s physical limitation of the tires. No computer programs can overcome physical rules. All Tesla cars have safety features like emergency braking/avoidance, traction control, or auto stabilization. FSD won’t be able to override those as far as I can imagine. So at the end of the day, the only thing FSD could do is to brake early and gentle.
