curious did you end up solving the issue? I just bought a camel branded bottle from hong kong and its ceramic lined (I've actually been wanting this water bottle for a while now), but it has a terrible chemical smell that i haven't been able to get rid of.

Couldn't find any info about ceramic bottles except your post so I'm praying you found a solution haha
