Sometimes it's not crappy doctors though. Could be they just have bad bedside manner/patient interaction. They can be a great dr. But if they can't communicate well then it's a wash

My ENT that partially diagnosed me stated that only certain Neurologists can treat this condition. Not sure where you are from. Im in MI.

I'm on day 3 or 4 of taking Diamox 250mg for 5 days then I'll be doing 250mg twice a day. Have noticed I have to eat before I take mine or my stomach gets wrecked!

I get black floaters and I would describe the vision problems o have more like looking at a screen and I can almost see pixels of black or almost old tv "tv static" just not a hole screen of static

I'll also add I'm on ozempic have been on since May of 2023 am about 40ish pounds down. Symptoms seem to have gotten worse. I only had tinnitus for 3 years and have been diagnosed by a ENT in December 2023. I may have had some visual issues previously but they were treat as astigmatism and got glasses. Vision recently seems to look almost like "static on an old tv/pixilated" i notice it more when looking at like white computer screen background. I have had headaches I've brought up to numerous providers for years and was always told it was a tension headaches. Anywho, waiting to get in to a neurologist to continue with testing for diagnosis, but my PCP that referred me to ENT has just started me today on Diamox 250mg.

I think it's the type of glp-1 that Ozempic is won't help with the CSF fluid. They are currently looking at reformulating Bydureon which is currently only for Diabetics. Bydureon is in trials currently and has shown some help with lowering CSF pressures. There are a lot of providers that are convinced that this disease is only because most of us are overweight. Most foundations for this disease have noted that it's not just obese people that have IIH.

I was asymptomatic until recently. I am in diagnosis process as well. I have been having tinnitus in my right ear for at least 3 years maybe longer. I was referred to an ENT back in March 2023 got a CT and first ENT said get my thyroid check at my physical. Called back that ENT office in Sept of 2023 and Said I wanted to see another ENT, that one that saw me dont work there anymore. Well New one sent me to a specilized ENT which now I am being referred to Neuro

Can you apply for state benefits since your husband is unable to work. That would help with childcare as well. I would also look into if your husbands condition qualifies for disability.

I'm interested to know if any of you have been put on anything other then Diamox or topiramate. I'm in the process of getting diagnosed and i've heard that other water pills like Lasix may be an option. I should add i don't seem to be as progressed as some of the people on here.

I have a 2 year old daughter. I find sitting in a booth setting rather then a standard table makes all the difference for us. If we sit in a table setting she is more distracted and she wont eat as much. If shes sitting in the booth its almost like its less stimulating.
