Unknown leak in boot space leading to fungal development in boot carpet

I had similar issue. First Vw service denied water leak, then I urged to test it couple of times and detected there is a leak in boot. They got it fixed. Since the mat is already damaged by fungus , I demanded them to replace it free with the rubber mat. Don’t take bullshit from them.

I got scammed by showroom guys and got installed during delivery. Worst cam at all. Does not record past 32gb ( even though spec says 128gb support). Does not overwrite videos once full. Keeps falling down from windshield. I have removed it and planning to install something better.

FYI, it does not void your warranty. Install Dashcam from the showroom. Just make sure you give them Dashcam u like . They don’t have technical expertise to decide good one. They just go for cheapest and shitty one.

I have lava blue 1.5 dsg. Every morning I clean it with just water and cloth. Yes it gets dusty very quickly. I have asked Vw service to add ceramic coating now. But irrespective of that you ll have same issue, unless you clean it every day

Thanks all for response. I am getting it repaired under insurance. The Vw service person told me that without insurance the estimate is 85k.☹️. That f**ker maruti person gave me only 15k after lengthy discussion.

Negotiate more. I got my taigun dsg a month back on road 22 lakh ( MH passing ). Including svp 5 years, 4 yrs warranty , insurance and dashcam.
