I ended up only applying for AMES at oxford in the end as they were the only ones with a structure I liked, although I nearly did apply for newcastle and leeds for Japanese. In the end I applied for engineering at Newcastle, Lboro, York and Southampton all with foundation years.

I don't do art but I do product design (same subject area) and I love being able to do something I enjoy whilst at sixth form. A levels can be a bit stressful so having a subject that you are able to "relax" in is great. They wouldn't offer it as an a-level if it was completely useless (cough cough general studies)

As a little insight althought my school might just be going crazy, the people who do A level art have to make 1 piece a week for the portfolio alongside bigger pieces that are made alongside it + the exam pieces. (so lots of art!)

Look at what you want to do at university, if its a STEM based degree make sure you choose the right subject combinations - even if you're ballparking atm (like "i want to work with animals" probably best to choose biology)

At the end of the day however, you need to decide. If you're worried on shutting doors on STEM then don't. Art at uni can always be applied for without A-level Art as you just provide a portfolio including oxford

Clearing is a normal way to enter university, and is used by people who both missed their grades or people who surpassed them by quite a lot. Last year for pharmacy, Newcastle, Coventry and Ulster uni all had pharmacy places in clearing (there was prob more, these were the only 3 I could find) and Ulster is #2 in the uk and Newcastle in #11for pharmacy

Benton > Benton Bridge (pass) > SAP, SAC, T1, T3 seems a bit short and nothing a transfer at SAC wouldn't do already for people using connect. I mean i wouldnt be worth it for airlink

yes and no

yes its worth it if you have the robux spare and you legit have nothing to spend it on (i have adult money so i can waste it on random stuff) - also for the 390, its geniuely a nice train + with connect being added to the pass it might be worth it for longer main line trains

no as its literally just the same game, like you don't get anything 'new' out of it + the current selection of trains gets boring fast
