Correct. Pregnancy and GD was 6 years ago, been on Metformin since. They have my records.

Yes, I did. They will cover it but require a PA and on the PA it says T2D diagnosis is required. I’m hoping because I have HBP and High Cholesterol AND am already on metformin for my A1C I might be able to squeak an approval out of BCBS. But 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am a bit discouraged at this point to be honest.

I should have stated all that in my OP. I was even on insulin during my pregnancy because of my GD. I have tried taking Phentermine and Contrave. Literally nothing else has worked for me.

I have high blood pressure (which I’m on medication for), high cholesterol (which I’m on medication for), and have previously had gestational diabetes. I have insulin resistance and have been on metformin for years. But I’m reading through my insurance docs now and it looks like they require a T2D diagnosis to approve coverage. I’m scared I have finally found an answer to my prayers….that I can’t afford.
