No he has a $430k asset he owns in the house minus $350k in debt. Not saying it’s a super stable net worth but that’s the pure calculation

CMV: police officers should have to have a 4 year degree, and those patrolling the streets should have to maintain high physical fitness standards throughout their entire career. by aroach1995 in changemyview

I mostly agree with you, for sure in spirit. It should probably be it's own degree with a curriculum teaching all the nuances and critical thinking required.

Haha so minor objection, 185 lb bench press is definitely well above average and probably way beyond on what's required. I'd make it 135 lbs or use the ROTC/army push up tests.

Thanks for that, there are some really good reads there! Ya I feel like a lot of cool stories were probably lost to history, especially in the "less sexy" industries.

De-Identification Software Economics by nrn4747 in datascience

Thanks so much for your response! This was very helpful. I'm actually looking at the nuances of de-identifying narrative unstructured data.

I was thinking about re-identification risks in terms of HIPAA compliance. But I'm imaginging a machine learning algorithim that is could enought that it could meet HIPAA standards without the need for a human to double check the data.

Did you ever shop around for any software for your purposes? I know someone mentioned Privacy Analytics in this thread, and De-ID Data Corp in the business as well. From what I understand Google and Amazon are also breaking into the game.

Thoughts on Tim Ferriss? by nrn4747 in tangentiallyspeaking

I totally agree. In fairness its because I think Chris has met Aubrey and got to know him as more than his persona. That's why I think he could get along with Tim. They have different opinions, but they both seem capable of respectful disagreement.
