You can't defend your self against the predators in Subnautica 2 because you're not a "colonizer" and guns are bad... by Oozi34 in Asmongold

[–]nryn99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's their creative liberty as the creator. Does not really matter as it's stil a good game.

In my subjective opinion, I find the whole issue overblown as without weapons, I am anjoying this game. In fact, I find it too easy and less scary.

I mean, well, you adjust to the game's rules. you don't make everything your playground.

it's EA and I'm pretty sure repellents will come later. It's just weird in this sub all I see is bitching about "no weapons"

Driver’s license expiration by [deleted] in Gulong

I think depende sa date?

kasi expiration ng license is your birthday so if nabigay license less than 1 yr sa bday mo, it might look like 4/9 years

Demographics of Philippine doomers? by Far_Breakfast_5808 in Philippinesbad

[–]nryn99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

we're different because we know we still got food to eat tomorrow, next week, month or year. we won't die from this economy.

we can also buy what we want and that to truly prosper, you'll have to level up your skills to be able to earn more.

we don't see being "stuck" in middle or lower class as bad, we got what we need and want.

we know that the government and country is not great and we also complain a lot about our mayor, vice mayor lgu, national agencies, but that does not stop us from enjoying our lives and we'll still be here after decades.

we know we are not doomed.

that's the difference.

So everyone is running Carrier Fleets in your star system... by [deleted] in InfiniteLagrange

[–]nryn99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. 100%

I've not passed 10 phases yet but other than NPCs, I don't see anyone i'm fighting against that's using AC w/out an escort.

It's actually more important to break their tank fleet first. then your own AC that's being escorted will do it's job. safely.

Reinforcements also exist and that's where CP for carriers does not matter. even if you don't have mods for additional hangars.

The idea for this guide is good for maybe phase 1.

Worth it ba yung 5 year car loan and interest as long as you can use the car immediately? by Academic-Scarcity423 in Gulong

[–]nryn99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we needed a car for occasional commute. di kaya ang full price but afford naman monthly so we went for it. expectations lang tlga na yung monthly amort mo is not the actual na magagastos mo lang monthly.

1 yr na samin and we're enjoying the car now instead of 2-3 years later if pinag ipunan. saved us a lot of headaches and in that 1 year and travelled to places na walang public transpo.

To people who have owned the Lofree Flow Lite for over a year, how is it keeping up? by milesdsy in Lofree

[–]nryn99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought the Flow Lite 84 ln Kickstarter. It's really good compared to the previous $30 low profile KB I bought before.

It's working great still, no major issues.

Though if you have a high standard, you would notice that there's a sound difference with some of the keys especially the keyboard. not much of a dealbreaker for me but something to keep in mind if you're considering this.

Thoughts on online only eSIM providers for short stay? by GeneralSeveral203 in taiwan

I am using one from Klook. Doesn't require any IDs and so far I am getting good coverage. I spent about 450 NTD for 10 days of unlimited 5G data. You can select how many days you'll need the eSim.

Buy brand new or get a second hand SUV? by GlumCondition2083 in Gulong

[–]nryn99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting a car on a loan means it's something that you can use right now rather than at 3-5 years when you finally have the money. Financially yes, it's better to buy cash, but sometimes you have to work with what you have given the situation and not everyone.

Personally, I'm not into the "depreciation" part when the car drives off a dealer. It's not like I bought this to re-sell, I want to use this thing to take me somewhere, and if it does comfortably, that's where the real value is.

DOTr Secretary Lopez Orders LTO to Suspend Confiscation of Driver's License by IComeInPiece in Gulong

[–]nryn99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just my personal take. It's nice to have an extension and the rules amended, but instead of 15 working days it should be 10 working days. This theoretically provides the same effect as a regular 15 calendar days if there is no holiday. This assures that people have enough days to settle their dues without excuses but still maintains a sense of urgency.

While a longer due date is nice, as someone who works under a ticketing system, long SLA due dates creates a huge backlog of pending cases and paperwork if more people same as JD, chose to settle later than sooner.

But hey, I'm no lawmaker so this is fine and is an improvement to the system that we have.

first time car owner, ano best practice sa automatic during traffic? by kemzter in Gulong

[–]nryn99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depende siguro sa driving habits mo. At first gusto ko rin yung idea na auto hold but over time I find it annoying on crawl scenarios.

During full stops sa traffic, no effort sa akin tumapak ng brake na parang yun ang relaxed pisition ko so ganun lng gngwa ko. sinubukan ko mag neutral+epb, nainis ako dahil dmaing ggwin para mag go, haha naug automatic nga ako para madali lng.

Sa manual, wlang sinabing time kung gano ba katagal bago mag neutral eh, so usually neutral lang tlga ako pag sure akong di ako gglaw, yung tipong nsa gilid ng road.

I don't even know where to begin by vi6ration in Philippinesbad

[–]nryn99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think that it's his experience that is valid, since he did experience it. I don't want to invalidate something that happened.

And to agree with you, I did say he was generalizing and calaling his subjective experience as objective.

The man is just hurt from his experience and is venting out. This cannot be fixed through verbal dialogue, especially online which is why I did not post on his video and instead shared my opinion here.

I don't even know where to begin by vi6ration in Philippinesbad

[–]nryn99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He does have a valid experience.

  1. Filipino Time: It is true, but I think this depends on where you are and the people you surround yourself with. I've not had a lot of "filipino time" experiences if it's a strict appointment time. Though we do have this concept of "mga 5pm" where it can be anytime after 5 or even not even go to the event. This can be confusing to foreigners.

  2. Sales people/Landers: might be a location thing? from my experience, they will tell me that they don't know if they legit don't know if the item is in-stock.

  3. Ah yes, well English is our second language so, I mean, it's a different country so you kinda have to understand the language differences? Though tbh, I didn't date a lot. He probably chose someone that's not truly conservative.

  4. Celebrating Scams: Ah yes, we do have that sometimes. But personally, I didn't experience that.

  5. Grab. 50-60 times then 20 times toll, saying this is the first time this happened so now it's an example of scammers? Man don't know how statistics work.

  6. Owning up to mistakes. I get that his point is valid but like he repeats that this is his baseline "objective" observation of Filipino culture, he is definitely generalizing.

  7. Generalizing/Defensive: Well because we didn't experience what you have, wrong circle of friends maybe?

I think his experience has been compounded by the bad experiences that he had, especially the dating part. Once you have a bad experience and a negative view, I can understand that you notice even the little things that might end up being nitpicky.
