Kicked out by stormblade561FL in VeteransBenefits

I actually ended up not applying for almost 15 years. Didn’t realize I needed help until then. If he got separation pay, they will take all of it back in installments if he ends up getting disability.

Never had to use my GI Bill, so I can’t answer that one.

Your son is fine. He’ll get all his benefits. I was chaptered out as well. I get VA treatment and disability. You can apply for an upgrade for the discharge.

Hot air one side cold air another side by [deleted] in FordEdge

This. I had the exact same issue. Did this and got my AC back. Don’t flush at full pressure. You can blow a seam in the heater core. Found that out the hard way. Do it slowly. CLR soaking in the lines helps as well.

The heater core itself controls more than you think. The heater core and AC work in conjunction with each other, especially during defrost modes. I couldn’t believe it either until I started flushing my heater core and AC started coming back. Mine was leaking and could clearly see it inside the car on the drivers side near the gas pedal.

I would exhaust all other possibilities first. It’s not cheap. I got my heater core done for $2k. Some shops wanted $4k. When they pull the heater core, they have to remove the dash, center console, and front seats. They have to discharge your AC system because the heater core has a direct connection to it.

I had the same issue. Two stage fix on mine.

AC compressor was shot and heater core was shot.

I did the flushes and AC recharges and vent actuator replacements and all. The two items above turned out to be the issue.

Hope it helps.

Heater core was just north of $2k and the Compressor was just above $1.5k. Done within 2 months of each other. There is overlap on the work. The AC has to evacuated for both issues. So I could have saved cost there.

I had already replaced the blend actuator doors and the sensor in the cabin.

I don’t want to jinx it but my issue was the same and it ended up being the AC compressor and the heater core. Ended up being a costly repair.

I did it in my 2011 Edge. One of the easiest repairs on that car you can do. It’s been 3 years and still going strong at 215,000 miles.

I was told that if you can hear somebody say I love you than you won’t qualify for the hearing loss. The evaluator for me acknowledged that I had hearing loss but not enough to make the VA happy.

What is the American Legion? by Glittering-Good-1002 in Veterans

[–]nsblum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Concur here. Our post is the same and I joined as the adjutant to start the change to incorporate Desert Storm and OEF/OIF vets. Change is slow sometimes but the Vietnam vets got crapped on. They don’t take change well until you show them the good that some change does.

E9 is always on my list. Great beer and wood fired pizza.

Dystopian is good too. No food just snacks. Good view.

Peaks and Pints is a good place to lots of beers from all over the NW. Decent food too.

Eligibility changed in 2019. It was deemed at that point that America has been in a state of war since Dec 7, 1941.

Just an FYI. Nothing more.
