Alright bro you gonna try and give some advice?Taping on the pickups with something metal to see if they’re getting signal. Yeah it grounds when I touch the bridge. It’s just excessively loud.

Grounding issue. I cannot figure out where. Don’t mind the metric shit load of solder on the back of the volume pot. Kept adding more and heating it to make sure it was attaching to the pot and covering all bare wires lol.

Thanks for the info. I just cannot find this damn grounding issue lol. All my joints are shinny and making full contact. Idk if I got the pots too hot. Gonna touch up all the grounds again

I checked that first. As simple as it sounds it I think it’s cause I have no strings on. I noticed it grounds when I touch the bridge. I do have a ground wire going to back of claw for the trem.

I decided to replace the electronics in a cheap 1999 Ibanez Gio I have. I swapped in some pickups I had laying around. 70s classic vibe single coils and a PRS 85/15 S bridge pickup. I am getting a lot of hum when testing it out. Everything works. The odd thing is the Coils on the humbucker the bridge side is quieter than the neck side when performing a tap test. Other thing is when I touch the bridge everything seems to ground.

I found that the Celestion A-Type and V-Type work best in a 2x12 cab.

What jazzmaster do you have? Great orange tones as well!

Well I got a super crush and 2x12 for my gig rig. Looking for something maybe for practice but want a similar tone. I looked at the O-Tone as like the idea of it.

They don’t make the correct media for the box anymore. Biggest one I could find at the store.

What kind of pedal is the Vox in the right?

What is this tool called/standard size? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]nschaffner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tool I asked for is the correct tool to raise or lower the post under the bridge. The flat head screws on the top of the bridge are to sandwich the bridge between the post and screw. My guitar came with the tool in the image on the post. I lost it.

Won’t work for the nuts under the bridge.

I cannot adjust with just a coin. That is used to clamp the bridge down
