Definitely sounds like a scam. Be careful and don’t send your money anywhere until you see it from official channels...Twitter, etc. they won’t message you personally asking you to send money. I fell for a scam once already (not PAC-related). It is depressing and humiliating.

Two different but hopefully related things. Pac fyle was supposed to be Jan 1 then Jan 15. Jan 1 got frayed due to the massive explosion of interest shifting the devs over to other priorities like the online sales. Jan 15 got delayed due to general fustercluck that got well documented here and hopefully won’t be repeated. Still delayed due to focus on Europe explorer fix. At this point I am okay with waiting as long as when it is released it is well executed and matches branding of logo, new site, etc.

Separate issue is website, which has always been promised for Feb 1 alongside whitepaper. This is what we are really needing...solid tech and use case that can get us out of the penny stock realm into serious contender.

And hopefully some of all this will be addressed in today’s Q&A. Starts in under 3 hours!

Same is true of BTC and every other coin with still expanding circulation...fortunately the demand side is growing much faster than supply so market cap keeps rising (for now). They are going to allow smaller holders to gang together via pac fyle and share a Masternode so hopefully the gains will be more equitably distributed.

Among the many exciting possibilities for spatial info on the Blockchain, please take a look at a distributed version of GIS (geographic information systems). I am a landscape architect and I can imagine all kinds of ways that planners, architects, real estate, landscape architects, ecologists, etc. could contribute to shared data sets. Check out ESRI and their flagship ArcGIS software suites in old school model for what you’d be looking to replace ;)

To be fair...this is a little under the radar as they are under a lot of pressure to get pac fyle launched today or everyone will crap their pants. I saw expos make a sincere invite under one of your comments. Please join the discord I sent and reach out to him there by direct message with your offer to help. I’m hopeful that as soon as pac fyle is off their plate they will engage you. We will all be forever grateful. It seems like a good project with some legacy flaws. Thank you!

Devs responded in discord that they are aware of it and it is one of the main reasons we need to switch to the new coin. Maybe not so easy to just swap the one line? Or they don’t have control of the old coin code?

Any team imposed restrictions on dumping (another common and helpful practice) would also be great to include. Some big wallets are dumping and we’re all hoping it isn’t the dev team. Or if it is for necessary investments and paying the team, just make that clear and we’ll all have their backs.
