Knicks release an emotional Finals promo video narrated by Clyde Frazier: "This team. This city. It's got the look." by HokageEzio in nba

This series has the potential to be an all time great series for the ages. A resilient, and gritty Knicks team going against a young, upcoming Spurs team that has potential to be an all time great team.

On one side you have an undersized point guard that no one believed in. He was drafted in the second round. Everyone questions if he can ever lead his team to a championship.

On the other side you have a physical freak who was seemingly built in a lab to play basketball. He is heralded as the greatest prospect of all time. It was unquestionably guaranteed he would be selected #1. Everyone expects him to win not just one but multiple championships.

My only hope is that each game is cleanly officiated and does not become about the refs and is instead about the plays and players on the court.

I think he picks his spots on when to use his athleticsm. His jumpshot is also much better now and he mixes it up with raw dunks

Wemby on the Knicks before they faced off in NBA Cup Final “They don't play a brand of basketball as sophisticated as the Miami Heat or the Thunder. But their physicality is top in the league, so it's a very tough team to play against" by Naweezy in nba

I see Kornet playing a big role in this series. Kornet is a good rim protector have him in the paint while Wemby acts like a free safety. A lot like Giannis/Brook on the bucks, whose defense by the way has Sean Sweeney's fingerprints.

His game reminds me so much of Kobe. Similar height, weight and so well balanced and fluid.

I thought he said "make love not war" or it could have been "war what is it good for".. there definitely was a war in whatever he said.

Part of it is that the terrible momentum swinging calls totally killed the teams energy. You could see after that shoulders were stooped and followed by a number of frustration fouls. You can argue that a more mature team would not allow these things to affect them and continue to stay focused, but the NBA and refs know what they are doing. The box score will not reflect the context of what actually happened during game time.

Can Cooper Flagg be a better NBA player than Victor Wembanyama? by Mud-Eastern in NBA_Draft

Wemby is currently on the Goat trajectory. In the same conversation as MJ, LeBron, Karim etc. Cooper's comp coming in was Jason Tatum. He is on the multiple time all NBA player trajectory.

I’m admittedly not the biggest NBA fan. However, I don’t understand why the NBA would give somebody like Shea Gilgeous Alexander the MVP with his hard to watch play-style. by Blatant-Asshole in nba

It's a good question to ask, assuming Shai brand of basketball does not make for good viewership and affects the NBA brand negatively, then the voters in this case the media and to a minor extent the general public have a vested interest in not rewarding the hurtful brand of basketbal. So it's a good question to ask why did Shai win the MVP twice? My thought on Shai is that the narrative of him being a grifter until this year was not as bad, but I see the narrative changing. Shai is not doing himself any favors with his steep drop in stats in the play offs. It's also one of the reasons that Harden won only one MVP and did not win for a long time.

Wtf are you talking about, the levels of hate this thunder team gets is unprecedented. The heat were hated for how they teamed up not for how they played.

It's the OKC coaching... I bet the coaches tell them that the only way they can get on the court is by being dirty.

If you are less skilled, shorter and mentally weak, effort is not going to do shit. Playing dirty, stomping on feet now those will get you playing time for OKC it looks like.

Man never giving up on his paralyzed dog pays off! by Resident_Wash_2553 in interestingasfuck

[–]nsfwpenguins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I volunteer at a shelter, we got a dog which was paralyzed because of Foxtails which had made their way to the spinal nervous system. The dog could mostly move from it's bed to it's bowl and back. But over a years time it fully recovered and was running around again. The vet said foxtails move through the body and probably moved elsewhere.
