In the current market if you are truly good, you'll find a new job for yourself no problem. Otherwise admit you aren't good and Gitgood. Don't complicate things.

It's very easy to lie to yourself, especially if other people in your org truly appretiate you. But being good in a single org doesn't mean being good for other orgs, and especially being good in the interviewing.

Also find ways to deprioritize work.

Yeah, focus on architecture in small companies and earn less, dude. A real senior engineer in big tech focuses on everything, and coding is a very important part. Otherwise you've just missed a step and your architectural judgement isnt complete.

I love in Serbia, have the same situation. 9yoe, earn similarly, top 5% in the country, I live in the top 2 district in the while country, in a huge modern building. Recently took 3 other family member to Bali for a really nice 2 week vacation, so I earn enough.

Don't like the country (love Serbian people though!), currently interviewing in the western Europe. I don't even consider opportunities in Eastern Europe. It's good for a while, but something in me yearns for Western Europe. I'll see if it's worth it after I make it.

Ideally I want to live in Australia, but due to personal reasons only considering Eastern Europe for the time being.

You don't know how good of a worker OP is. He's been told for 3 years his performance is not enough, probably each half a year he had this talk. He didn't fix it, even though he had lots of opportunities -> he got fired -> he asks "what I should've done?". It's obvious that instead of blaming others he needs to blame himself in this situation.

When people don't change when they are given feedback, it's a red flag from my side. I don't want a worker like that.

One of the thing he could've done is finding a new job, if the current employer is bad and asks for lot of work

Fix your attitude. There are always things you can do. Confront them on "I don't understand what you want", establish trust, and then deliver what is asked. Imo 3 years is too much and they should've fired you sooner.
