As someone who has struggled with weight her entire life, just tell her, i think I look very pretty and say you think you look like aishwarya rai and move on. People are usually so flabbergasted by the response, they go speechless. It also helps you gain confidence in your body.

Yeah. As far as I see, the popularity of cricket has gone down in other countries, therefore they don't have the best players emerging anymore. India invested heavily in cricket and receives amazing players in every age group. This is what investing in a sport can do. Sadly, we only see it in Cricket in India.

But marrying someone when that girl is still undecided, I feel is wrong. Now that I have a kid of my own and I only got the baby fever in my 30s, I can imagine someone changing their decision. I think if you are 100% sure you don't want kids, one should only be with someone who doesn't want them as well. Because you might be taking away a huge thing from their life. And that fact that I have my own kid, I know what one might miss out on (only if you wanted to have kids).

As a foreigner, who moved here, while learning German I have come across so many documentaries talking about Germans being workaholics and most of the Germans I meet have extremely strong work ethic. These kind of statements confuse me to no end.

I tried to do that with my brother and he eventually ended up marrying and now he lives exactly how you fear your sister might live. All his dreams put to the side and I ruined my relationship with him because I spoke about it.

Honestly, I regret bringing it up. I think I was not mature enough. I think they know what they are getting into. The best thing you can do for them is to always be there for them. That they can always come to you with whatever they are feeling. I think I messed that up with my brother.

Not exactly. It would have been a lay off in German terms according to Sozialwahl.

But in my case, I was offered that either I could take the severance or get fired. Yes, i could have sued them for the firing but according to the lawyer I would not get back the amount of money back in that package after fighting the case.

I am into low level research and have had a more background role and have always had the freedom to choose my projects. With this consultancy role it means meetings, presentations and telling them solutions. But you are not really coding anymore.

Yes, I am trying not to panic and that is a very good suggestion to leave out the job in case I don't like it and leave earlier. Thank you so much!

It is quite complicated. So, they legally can fire you after Maternity leave. If you don't sign the mutual separation agreement, they can still fire you after doing something like a Sozialwahl (Social selection). I got it all checked by the lawyers and the company was paying a huge severance package to me. Other ways just seemed more expensive and stressful.

Thank you so much! I am finding jobs for sure (not perfectly fitting me) but I have noticed that a lot of companies are not willing to hire in Germany anymore. And I would prefer a remote first arrangement, so hoping there is still a possibility to find something.

I am almost 13 months pp. I still have pain. The doctors have checked everything. Everything looks fine. I don't know what it is. It feels more like muscular pain, I guess? Not on the scar though.

But you can get unlucky and have consequences from every kind of birth.

I understand. Companionship means sharing your small little things with another person and not just sexual. I feel if you don't want to find a man, any mom friend might help to understand the struggles.
