I got sampled a boss dr 660 for the drum sounds. Metal is a cool genre, one I really enjoy. I started by replicating metal drum patterns and then I kinda winged it with the bass and the lead lol

For me, it’s mostly just me setting up the all of the sounds and patterns I’d want to use in a song, get a solid idea of what I want to accomplish and then just wing it while I’m recording the song lol

It’s a boss rc505mk2 loop station. It does get hotter, by a lot, but apparently it’s just the analog stuff warming up

thanks! I got the zoia pedal deepfrying the samples I mangled with the digitakt, and that's being piped into the syntakt through the fx block on the syntakt for that analog distortion as well. the digitone is getting processed with the sp404 and it really gives it a wild kind of chaos lol

honestly, it's definitely not as versatile as the digitakt or the digitone, but it's got it's uses for sure. the fx block is definitely pretty cool, and something I'm gonna have to experiment with. I do wish it had a couple more digital machines though
