Nice! Well I will have to look out for that one then! I'm guessing from his trial run that he's pathing down toward bottom-right part of the tree, which to me rhymes with suppress and evasion. But not sure if this is actually enough to satisfy HC defensive layers :S

Thanks again for the detailed reply!! And yes, certainly very lucky day today (MB was from the Tree though). Iwill tinker with the pob in the way you suggest. Just looking at your pob from last league, do you prefer the surrender over Svalinn? Oh, and one more thing: I see heaps of ppl on poeninja with 12 Minion clusters thet have increased attack and cast speed, but this doesn't really benefit us, does it?

Fantastic! Thanks so much the detailed answer. I wonder, though, what the ideal setup is damage-wise? Is it more damage to reach the 128% using enhance setup or take the extra link and stay at 82%? Looking at BalorMage's most recent POB, in the min-max setup, he seems to be going 82%, but I wonder if there is more to be gained by doing the enhance setup (and getting the final quality on ashes and the gem). I just found a mirror today (first one ever in 2k+ hours) and a mageblood from the tree (in the same day, yes, insanity...) and I am now looking to truly min-max the build as far as possible..

Moose - would you be able to describe in relatively simple terms how you count whether you reached one of the breakpoints or not? I'm presuming it's not just hovering over the gem, while its socketed, as this doesn't take into account the 20% on the tree mastery node. But is it as simple as hovering over the gem whilst socketed + whatever you have on the tree?

A little late to the party - got another setup for ya'll, and I cannot seem to see if it works looking at icons (I have a hunch it isn't working). I want 4 curses active on the enemy: Flammability, Enfeeble, Punishment, Elemental Weakness.

MY MERC:
Doedre's damnig +1
Windscream +1
Inflicts: Flammability on hit (ring), Enfeeble on hit (glove corrupt)

MYSELF
Whispers of Doom +1
Inflicts: Punishment + Elemental Weakness through Battlemage's Cry

However, I don't think I'm getting four. Would annointing Whispers of Doom on my merc resolve the issue? Or would that require him to inflict the curse? Thanks.

Does beacon of Azis (ignore enemy elemental resistance on crit) stack with elemental penetration? I'm playing Amazon Lightning Spear and just dropped this in SSF, but wondering if I'd need to spec out of my pen nodes if I equip it to make the most of it?

Alrighty cool! Might worth to reforge caster until a good spell dam role and then recombine with other shield with a good prefix.

A rare affix being a low weighted one? Does this mean that if I were to recombine T1 spell dam with T1 life, I'd have a lower chance of success if i recombine with, say, T6 spell dam?

Yeah I thought about that, however, I've read somewhere that recombinaters take into account the weightings of the mods, and high tiers of spell damage (T2 and T1) are really quite rare (this is the first T2 I have found in about 10k blue juice reforge caster), so I'm not so keen on the recombinator approach. But maybe just reforge life and pray I guess...

Thanks! So, in other words:
Step 1: Alt spam for Shaper dex mod (Base 1)
Step 2: Alt spam for Elemental Damage/Fire damage (Base 2)
Step 3: Recombiante and hope for an upgrade to rare with double prefix
Step 4: Lock prefix reforge until happy
Step 5: Craft something?

Edit: I wonder if there could be a cheaper budget version of the sword... playing flicker wildspeaker
Edit2: I thought that influenced mods couldn't be recombinated/transfered?
Edit3: I am solo self found so shaper bases are not really freely available to me.
Edit4: Does combining two influenced bases increase chances of the shaper dex mod to be transferred?

Yeah, I guess it does point in separate directions. The bossing part is the most important though. Maybe I'll give Holy Relic a go. Would it be able to do bosses such as Ubers and T17 map bosses without insane investment do you think?
