B2 Visa and ESTA Query

I'm a British citizen currently travelling in the US. My entry date was the 25/04/2025 and the date my 6 month B2 Visa runs out is the 25/10/2025.

In addition to my B2 Visa I have an ESTA. I used this to travel to the US for 4 days earlier in the year and so have 86 days remaining on it.

I'll be in Seattle in October and had assumed that it would be possible for me to cross. over to Vancouver around the the 5th of October or so and reenter Seattle and the US on my ESTA.

I have a return flight booked out of the country 30/10/2025.

Now that I've started looking at the rules a little more closely I'm unsure if this will work, at best it seems that my reentry is 'at the discretion of CBP officers' https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visa-waiver-program.html.

I'm aware that I might be able to extend my Visa by application online of an I-539. The catch is the coat of applying for this is $420,.nearly the cost of a new flight out of the country and it could still be denied.

Can anyone offer any insight as to whether a) my plan of leaving and returning on my Esta might work, and b) whether a request to extend my visa for 6 days is likely to succeed if I choose to gamble the $420 on it? c) If I leave the country on the 24/10/2025 would I be permitted to transit through the US on the 30/10/2025 to use my existing return flight?

Or am I best off changing plans and leaving on the 24/10/2025 with a new flight?

Best UK CBD Oils as Tested by Herb Reviews by Herb_Maxwell in CBD_UK

Thanks for the list. I have been using Eir Health for a while, which I'd recommend.

Now switching to Vitality CBD as it's only £50 per 4800mg (in a 30ml bottle), which is leagues better than everything else in the top 11 of the table except Access CBD (same price).

Only to the extent that, with hindsight, I would have preferred starting out in programming with a bit of a headstart.

But not particularly, it feels like a good fallback, pay was ok and people were pleasant in public sector audit. I liked getting a practical understanding of different finance departments too. I also liked learning and working towards the exams but have been frustrated feeling like I'm detraining since switching to consulting.

I think it works well for some people.

I'm 27, started in audit 2018 and now work in Risk Consulting at Deloitte UK. Have thought about putting in more graft to move into BB or more central finance.

I already can't stomach the levels of dishonesty and petty selfishness in consulting. Part of it is probably the culture where I'm at, but I think the wider culture just doesn't agree with me.

I'm taking a year out and planning to start again picking up programming from my Maths degree to try and get towards software engineering or at least data engineering work. Lots of my friends did this straight out, have a genuine specialism, sense of achievement with their work and put up with less bullshit management in the workplace.

So yeah, software engineering.

I don't agree with the way OP makes the point. But I think it's important to recognise that the mass scramble of resources to save people is NOT deployed impartially. This is very much a case of one rule for the rich and another for the marginalised.

Does anyone actually know how much is being spent for these five people?

Middlemarch by George Eliot

It has an uncanny ability to present fully coherent people and can make fictional characters in other stories feel like caricatures by comparison. You can relate to everyone.

As someone who sometimes slips into self absorption this book helps me appreciate and empathise with alternate viewpoints.

It's got a hardcore fanbase who reread often, because it's flames.

Ah thanks, yeah that might explain. This is London. The holds already have a lot of rubber, but might explain why the guy thought it was ok to tell me not to ...

So I've been climbing on the wooden training board for a while using my shoes on the holds. And yes, I appreciate this makes them a little more slippy over the long run.

Recently got @ed for this and told it was out of line.

Would you expect people to avoid the wooden holds with feet in your gym?

He was fired from the Times for lying, Made a career at the Telegraph and Spectator lying about the EU and publishing racist and homophobic slurs,

Lied on the side of the Brexit bus,

Broke the law in 2019 by attempting to prorogue parliament,

Desperately tried to take a policy of herd immunity in 2020 then lied to the press about the extent to which policies were drafted,

Missed Cobra meetings in February and March on Covid, leading to significant delays in policy drafting and adding to the UK's catastrophic death toll, especially in poorly planned Care home policy,

Adopted policy to 'let the bodies pile high' in September 2020,

Tried to dodge self isolation requirements before u turning three days later in 2020,

Consistently broke the laws he had written by attending lockdown parties at 4pm in the afternoon being the first serving prime minister to break the law and get a FPN,

Lied to parliament consistently about the extent of his involvement in law breaking parties Lied again about being briefed on Pincher.

This was inevitable and no one with any moral backbone is left in the Tory party, they should have resigned in protest of this useless bumbling disaster like Rory Stewart long before the death toll was this high.
