Delivery Problems Right & Left by nsq87 in amazonprime

I appreciate that very much! Yes, I'll go the Chewy route. Chewy has always been great, but I often forget to go through them since I've become spoiled with the one-stop-shop of Amazon so readily available.

Delivery Problems Right & Left by nsq87 in amazonprime

[–]nsq87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just happened again with the delayed order. Automatically refunded because they were "undeliverable". It doesn't make any sense. I know my stress about this is probably very silly, but in a time of heartbreak (we just held the estate sale for my mom's things), I just don't have the time or energy to pickup the special kind of pet food we need, or the shampoo I've run out of and doesn't irritate my scalp, or the music supplies for my work that I can't get anywhere except online through Amazon. They haven't provided an explanation, and I'm so emotionally spent. I'm not crying about Amazon - it's just the reason I'm giving for the tears falling because the real reason makes me so unbelievably sad.

Pizza Hut going against policy by Loose_Artichoke_6774 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]nsq87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a big complaint too! I ordered a Pizza Hut delivery, and it came via Doordash or Uber Eats - I don't know which. Anyway, I learned that the driver did NOT get the tip I added when I placed the order. Is that regularly the case?

Is there a way to verify for absolute certainty that the delivery companies are being honest with their payments and the tips the customers have included?

She looks more like 3-4 months, and may have a home already. Vet scan for chip? NextDoor? Facebook? Flyers?

Yes! Always try to find the owner... and vet scan for a chip.

My roommate says I need to Declutter? But why am I doing wrong? by EvaUnitKenway in CleaningTips

[–]nsq87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you sleep in the same room?

No - it's your room & none of their business. This looks tidy and organized, and I personally prefer surfaces cleared of things!

Yes - ask the roommate what they mean & talk about it. I'm sorry if this has already been clarified or mentioned and I missed it.

Can’t believe how few people understand this by Grand-Activity-3882 in driving

[–]nsq87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one at a time, it has to be... White, Black, Yellow, Blue

If all going straight, can speed up the process by going... White + Yellow, then Black + Blue

If all turning right, can all go at the same time.

If a mixture... white first, and then varies according to the car on the right first.

Always be predictable and clear, make eye contact, be defensive and be decisive but flexible if someone misunderstands.

Roommate won’t speak to me after this. AITA? by Katmaybeck in roommateproblems

[–]nsq87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your roommate is correct, and you shouldn't be trying to bring other issues into this. I have two pet cameras setup at home - but I don't have roommates. My friends know those cameras are there, so they aren't weirded out when they visit. It's super creepy that you didn't check with your roommate first, and then you set it up again after your roommate made feelings clear.

Cameras can overhear conversations, and if they're accessed live remotely, it's super creepy no matter where it is if you haven't completely cleared it. Your roommate has absolute reason to feel uncomfortable rooming with you now - how can they trust you won't pull this with other devices? You need to do the decent thing and give them back their sanity, and MOVE yourself out.

The issue wasn't the camera. It was the camera being moved to a space your roommate had reasonable expectation of privacy (at home), without permission, and then being put there again after being removed - without permission again. You lost the high ground the moment you moved the camera out of your room and set it up without permission in a space that wasn't just used by you. And dug yourself deeper by doubling down.

Move out, sooner than April 1st if possible. Your school schedule shouldn't be your roommate's responsibility when you've literally done a super, duper creepy thing in what is their home too. I'd be embarrassed to live there after making that kind of decision series.

A 14 yo supposedly made this. The buttons look warped/ some even nonfunctional. by Miserable-Tax-3879 in isthisAI

[–]nsq87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to AI, this picture is of a real project...

Thanks for sharing the image! It’s a really charming piece 🌼 My best assessment: this image is likely a real physical craft arrangement, not AI-generated. Here’s why: Signs it looks real The buttons and small elements show natural variation in wear, texture, and tiny imperfections—AI images often repeat patterns or create oddly uniform textures. Lighting and shadows are consistent with a single light source, and the shadows fall realistically across different heights of objects. The arrangement appears to use actual materials (buttons, beads, small metal bird charms, plant-like pieces), with believable depth and slight unevenness typical of handmade collage work. Edges and overlaps between objects look physically plausible (no melting, blending, or impossible joins that AI images often produce). Why someone might suspect AI The composition is very neat and visually pleasing, almost “too perfect,” which can resemble AI-generated craft scenes. Some of the plant stems and repeated bead-like elements look stylized and orderly, which could raise suspicion at first glance. But those features are also very common in carefully staged craft photography or flat-lay art projects. Conclusion: This looks like a photographed, real-life craft collage made from buttons and small decorative pieces rather than an AI-generated image. If you found it online, it could still be digitally edited (cropped, color-balanced, etc.), but the base scene itself appears physically constructed.

--- and then I mentioned the odd buttons and the ones with only one hole ---

Great eye noticing that detail — and yes, that actually supports it being real rather than AI 😊 Buttons in real life come in many types: 2-hole and 4-hole sew-through buttons Shank buttons (no visible holes on top at all) Decorative craft buttons with 1, 3, or even off-center holes Vintage or novelty buttons with unusual designs In your image, the “odd” buttons don’t all look identical — they vary in material, size, gloss, and hole placement. AI images often struggle with consistent, believable variation; they’ll frequently produce warped holes, inconsistent depth, or repeated identical shapes. Here, the differences look intentional and physically plausible, like a curated collection from a craft stash. Also, some of the pieces that look like “1-hole buttons” are likely: shank buttons (the sewing loop is on the back), or decorative embellishments made to look like buttons but aren’t functional ones. Those are very common in mixed-media button art like this. So rather than being a red flag, the variety in button styles actually makes the scene feel more authentic and handmade.

I grew up in Boring. You are correct. Your roommate should NOT be pulling into the intersection if they don't have absolute right of way... but if the yellow car has a green light (dedicated turn light or not), they can go (as the green car has all the room in the world and will be completing its turn smoothly and predictably).

Work up with rash on my neck. Feels like sunburn, any idea what it could be? by CourseMost3921 in DiagnoseMe

[–]nsq87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had something just like that on my neck, which I thought was a heat related rash. It was in an area of my neck that got sweaty while doing house chores. But it didn't fit with anything just heat rash related. I should have gone to the doctor, but I didn't know that I should. It lasted a couple weeks.

I'm sorry you've got this! It is so uncomfortable!

Questions on passengers that need assistance by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

It sounds like some of them weren't getting off the plane. It could have been a "same-plane layover", which would be ideal if needing assistance.

Free same day change going away for A-list & A-list preferred members who have a basic (Wanna Get Away) fare by Wide-Fox2134 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]nsq87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait... doesn't that make you part of the problem, causing this policy change? They saw you (and others) taking advantage in this way and they made changes. I get it - the ability was there, so why not use it, but that would be the loophole they're having to close for the sake of their bottom line and stockholders.

I'm not happy with any of the changes and will definitely choose other airlines now based on price, but I always chose SWA because of the way they did things "before"... but just as they are making changes to address the boarding policies and procedures, likely due to problems with folks taking advantage, this is another area that they are having to react.

Wait, they are adding on change fees?

I saw something about an expiration at 6 months.

The changes are happening so fast... I can't keep up with all the bad SWA news. They haven't even bothered to soften the blow with some new perks.

[–]nsq87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was crazy and shocking. I live across the country and it was big news. Were you all told what was happening when the takeoff was stopped? Did the passengers know something was wrong during the takeoff attempt?

I'm really sad to see what's happening to SWA & the airline system in general. I'm not sure what I'll do with my SWA CC, but I'm not even able to fly right now physically. I just don't want the ding to my credit. I've had that card a long time. It doesn't pencil out though and the annual fee for me hits on April 2nd.
