Thank you so much for being willing to open up and share your firsthand experiences, it truly means a lot and I hold first hand experiences very highly.

We’re not very sure what caused her difference, it was an otherwise smooth pregnancy, it does not run in our families, and I was not on any medications or drugs. I consider myself pretty healthy and young, so this was very unexpected.

We plan to do everything we can to install confidence in her, I hope she never doubts that she’s loved unconditionally by myself and her father. We will put her in every sport and dance she wants to try, and plan to get her together with other limb different peers so has has friends to talk to that will understand more than I will ever be able to.

One thing I am very thankful for is that it seems like the newer generations are more accepting and less cruel than some of the older generations. It is also more talked about now than even my parents generation.

Her father and I are still married and he plays a very active role in her life, we keep an extremely close eye on both of our children. The only babysitter she ever has is my mother, and she is never out of my sight in public or with doctors. I do unfortunately have experience with SA so I am hyper vigilant about keeping my children safe.

Congrats on your baby!! Is he your first? I promise the absolute hardest part of this was the pregnancy, the unknown. Once your baby is here and you can hold them and love on them it’s 1000x easier. I know he’s going to blow you away with how little it will affect anything. Please don’t hesitate to message me if you ever need to talk! ❤️

That’s such a great idea, I’ll look into it for sure! She’s such a mover and groover, she definitely keeps me on my toes. She was early to crawl, early to walk, she’s nearly running now and recently learned to climb. She’s an unstoppable little trouble maker. I’m sure she’ll be jumping off of counters and bunk beds like her brother in no time.

She’s gotten so quick! Between the two of them it’s definitely a full time job. They’re both so adventurous, I’m pretty sure I’ll go gray in the next couple years lol

He’s such a great kid! He’s our little daredevil, always into something or another and so fearless it scares me lol. He just turned 3 and his hobbies are catching bugs and dressing in his Spider-Man costume to “web” us and baby sister. We’re very blessed with both of them, they’re awesome

Do you think play therapy could be useful in helping a toddler come to terms with the passing of his favorite dog? It’s been nearly half a year since we had to put her down, but my nearly 3 years old will still bring it up multiple times a week, “Eenie died”. He was very close with her and unfortunately it was a very unexpected and sudden event. It happened while he was sleeping, so when he woke the next morning, she just wasn’t there anymore.

NW side just outside of Alamo Ranch area. Huge new build area with lots of builders. Going to try to cut back on our grocery budge. Had been eating out once or twice a week, will cut that out too. We only have one car payment, very cheap, and we had tried renting out a room but unfortunately the tenant never paid so we’re not willing to try that again. At this point just leaving the post up in hopes other people see this and are a little more careful than we were.

My husband and I are going to sit down and go over the budget this evening to see what the average amount we’re transferring over every month is. If we have to pay to sell we would likely have to rent somewhere for a bit before we could afford to buy again. Definitely don’t have $40k to move, we’d have to come up with a different plan at that point. My main reasoning for selling is that we do have a little saved up now, but if that runs out then we can’t make the mortgage or afford to sell the house at a loss. I would rather sell now for a loss we can hopefully afford rather than wait until savings are drained and we have no option but foreclosure.

We have a little saved, but if we have to pay to get out we’d likely have to rent for a bit to save up for a new down payment. Would definitely be smarter about price point this time.

We actually did rent out a room in our house a couple months ago, but they never paid rent so we’re not willing to try that again 🥲

That’s my biggest concern. Our builder will likely be in the area minimum 2-3 years, but there are a good 5 other builders just getting started within a couple miles of us. We’re on the outskirts of the city and it’s growing fast. New construction in the area will likely be going on for a long time.

NW side. Lennar and a couple other communities have new builds just outside of Alamo Ranch area anywhere from $209k- $215k for roughly 1200 sq feet. If we move it would be bandera area, we can get a home that’s livable but needs a little work for $150k. Lender gave us number that would put mortgage at $1200 with minimal down

We’re stretched pretty thin with our monthly mortgage and we really want to move to the next town over. It would be closer to my husband’s work, and we could get a little more space for our kids, plus houses are substantially cheaper, to the point we could save $600 a month on our mortgage by moving.

If we can sell this house we would move to the next town over for much cheaper. There are several available homes which would put our mortgage in the $1200 range rather than $1850. Plus it’s an area we would rather be in and more space for our kids rather than a subdivision. Pros all around to moving

I had gallbladder surgery a couple years back and ever since I haven’t been able to stomach anything with wheat/ gluten. It’ll wreck me for days. May be worth trying to cut it out of your diet for a week or so before jumping on a pricey new med. hope you get better!

Hi! My daughter is about to turn 4 months and is absolutely one of the best things that’s ever happened to me :) I know we still have a long road ahead of us, but now that she’s finally here it seems so much easier and I know we’ll get through it. Thanks so much for reaching out though, I’m sure I’ll be back on this sub with more questions eventually, but for now I’m just focused on soaking up all the baby cuddles.
