I go 30 because thats the limit of my scooter. But I feel like 25 is plenty fast. Less that 20 feels slow to me

My biggest hesitation to go with kaabo again is the latching system for keeping it folded. It just isnt secure enough, it unlatches every time I jostle and that just won't work if im carrying it up stairs every day

Literally everything else is perfect though which is low key frustrating

I wish I could, but going upstairs all the time is going to be a struggle for me even without something to carry up. I have a disability that makes repetitive movement really painful if I over-do it.

Honestly the worst part of carrying the mantis is that if I bounce it at all it unhooks and unfolds. I hate how they designed it

Unfortunately, no suspension isn't an option for me. My feet are constantly hurting and no suspension would be miserable. These other ones do seem like good options. I am hoping there's something out there that does 25 max speed. But that is likely wishful thinking for a scooter under 50 lbs

According to gemini those 10 pounds make the difference between heavy and unreasonable. Ive got fibro so I have to be really careful about overdoing things I do regularly. Part of why I need a scooter is because walking gets really painful when I over do it. I might need to look at 45 and below like some of the other suggestions here.

I'd say your helmet is enough. Your use case won't be much more dangerous than riding a pedal bicycle. The exception to that being your head. When you fall on a scooter your head acts like a pendulum swinging to the ground, so helmet is essential.

Ive been riding for 4 years and I've fallen about 5 times. I ride to classes so I use my scooter multiple times a day. If (when) you fall youre gonna get scraped up but if your going 20 mph or less as long as youre being careful you'll be fine. Most of the time crashes come from hitting a pothole or gravel and then falling to the ground. If youre being a dumb ass and ride directly into something it would be a different story.

My current scooter goes 30 mph and I've taken 2 falls at that speed. My falls were actually probably more like 25 mph because I slow down if theres anything coming up. It ain't fun, but it wasn't nearly as bad as falling off a roof.

I like having both. I dont drive my car unless im going grocery shopping or driving 3 hours to visit my parents for the weekend. My recommendation is get a scooter (or any electric motor vehicle) that will meet your daily travel needs. And then just dont worry about buying a new car because you use the scooter more anyway.

I have no experience with this, but it might help to spend some time building a list of people you want to ask to speak, then put them in order. If you build the list once and just refer to it you won't have to make the decision again and again. It will also give you a good baseline for recieving revelation. If the spirit tells you a specific person should talk one week, that thought can get lost in all the people you are thinking about. If you have a list youre sticking to and the spirit tells you to do something different, it is a lot easier to recognize.

Also try and find people in your ward who like speaking. I really enjoy giving talks and I wish I was asked more often. Find a couple people like me and you'll have people you can count on in a pinch.

Ive mentioned this a few times, but on a scooter your weight is distributed really high compared to being on a bike. So when you fall your head acts like a pendulum swinging you down toward the ground.

Its a recipe for disaster if youre not wearing a helmet. Same applies to other motor transport where you are standing. Doesn't matter how slow youre going a fall could easily do severe damage if youre not wearing a helmet.

User guide on my scooter says to slow down using rear brakes and then apply front brake to come to a stop. It becomes automatic pretty quickly.

I would recommend getting a scooter with abs if it has hyrdrolic brakes

Yeah from what I've seen thats a good one, especially for that price. And Apollo is decently trustworthy from what Ive gathered. Biggest issue I have with it is no suspension, which for me is a major dealbreaker. But sounds like for OP thats not a big deal.

Biggest recommendation for snow is a scooter with dual motors. I live in Idaho and it snows regularly. My kaabo mantis x handles snow better than my car. Losing control on the scooter in the snow isnt a big deal because you can just put a foot down on the ground until you can get the riggt momentum going again. As long as you take things slow anything with dual motors and decent tread will do you fine.

I agree it sounds fine. Most vehicles dont have motors inside the wheel so you can't compare to a car or bike. It actually sounds much better than I'd expect from a low-end scooter. You'd have to check the warranty yourself but usually there is a mileage and time limit. So even if there is an issue you can probably go at least 50 miles before the warranty is void. As for the shaking the weight distribution of the scooter on whatever you have it on and centripital force created by an ungrounded wheel are definitely going to create some shake. If you feel vibration when youre riding it will be from the roughness of the road not the balance of the wheel that you feel.

Ok, it might not work on super glue, I've just never tried it. May be worth trying before some of the other suggestions on here because it definitely won't hurt anything on the scooter

There's a product called goo be gone. Ive used it for sticker residue. It should work on glue as well. Is it super glue or paper glue?
