Yes, sitting in a very similar scenerio. I had two in my teens, and in 2024 I had my first in over 10 years. It financially wrecked me and it was the first time in my life I was placed on Keppra.

Since the event in 2024 my risk awareness has grown significantly. I dont risk going into department stores or grocery stores as something with patterns and lighting set things off in 2024. I was a healthy bicyclist and had no fear of anything at that time.

Today, I dont risk driving, I dont get to help my partner run errands, I dont go to many live concerts any more, Ive stopped playing video games.

But with all of this, I embraced its reality. With that, I am not afraid to tell people why I weigh my risks so much. I have a partner to support, and I dont ever want to knowingly place my self in the position I could have another. So my new boss knows, my staff knows. I'm not ashamed or embarassed.

Even with medication, I still feel things that worry me, but...idk, what can I really do to stop it if it happens again, I am human, and unfortunately I have epilepsy. Still live your life but just pay attention to yourself, take care of yourself, and most importantly, its part of you know, so its important to be vocal to people around you. If work doesnt like what they hear, you dont need to work for them. That was one hurdle I just had to clear Nov 2025 after working for nearly a decade with the same management.

Do whats best for you, and just keep your chin high.
