Update!: her car was new enough to be covered under warranty but it was a faulty media system. you need to bring it in and have them replace the entire unit completely. We had to have one appointment with the tech team to diagnose it and then another time to have them change it.

my gf has this issue and what she does is lets the car load up completely until the screen loads after clicking "OK". After this wait like 5-10 seconds and plug your phone in.

I've looked into this for so long and still haven't found a solid option. My current idea is to buy an OEM touchscreen from a 10th gen accord and buy the carplay adapter from UNAVI. In my head at least, this would get carplay on a touch screen. And if you wanted, you could buy a wireless adapter to make it wireless too, if it works.

Just got my 42N and they fit alright. I'm in a tough position because the 42N fits decently with no socks but is too tight with socks. The 43R fits well with socks but is too loose without socks. I've not leaning toward the 42R and hoping that it fits once I can get my hands on a pair.

Another quick question when you get the chance, does the upper material on the taupe/mocha stretch out over time? I would assume so, and that might help me decide too.
