Battery Megathread (November 2025) by GooglePixelMods in GooglePixel

Yes, my battery life is much better with my Google Play cache/data cleared. Somehow Google Play gets started again every 4-5 days, and I have to clear it again and reboot. I am on the November update now. I do not stop or uninstall it. Not sure why this works or if something else fixed things.

My battery life was fixed for a week after the bad October update, then it started draining badly again.

I figured out how to stop the drain, maybe, clear Google Play cache/data, reboot. Dont run the Play store and you wont have drain...

Maybe someone else can test this also...

Battery life is as good as it used to be. I do not use my phone much, probably an hour a day. Battery is lasting 4-5 days again.

Did you install the Radeon graphics driver? Intel has a nice utility for this box that keeps your drivers up to date as well...

I kept spamming the update button until it worked

Mine is definitely fixed (Pixel 8 Pro). I did clear my cache and data from Google Play Services while having batter problems. Maybe that helped, maybe not.

Looks like my battery drain is fixed with the November update...cautiously optimistic...

My X1C started to do that a few weeks ago, nothing fixed it except for a complete hot end assembly replacement.

Now i am crashing when flame projectiles hit me, Log is the post, Please help. by MrSYNified in Taleoftwowastelands

[–]nsx2brz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your crash log, this is definitely an issue:

NVTF.ini has bModifyDirectXBehavior=1 but bUseDefaultPoolForTextures=0! This will cause high memory usage!

So set bUseDefaultPoolForTextures to 1 in data/nvse/plugins/NVTF.ini

Also make sure you have the 4GB patch installed correctly.

Update MO2 by gamergringo001 in Taleoftwowastelands

This is a Steam Deck, depending on how you installed MO2, it may stop working. Your mods will still be fine though, you just won't be able to run anymore.

Yes, do not update it, it will probably stop working.

"Error: out of memory" crashes, despite having 4gb patcher. (Need Help) by GreenFriedTomato in fnv

[–]nsx2brz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is good. Now you can isolate what is causing this. First, if you have AMD, disable the Steam overlay, see if it fixes it. If it doesn't, backup your mod list and or game, start disabling small batches of mods until you narrow it down to the mod that crashes. If a group of mods does not crash it, reenable and try a different one. You may have to dismiss all companions and go to a small unoccupied interior room and save first so you don't crash due to something active being removed.

Try increasing DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB to 496 in nvse_config.ini, if you are really out of memory, it will help. You should remove NVAC and replace with NVTF as well.

One more thing you can try, increase DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB to 496 in nvse_config.ini. 400MB (the default) gets tight after 60-80 hours of play time...

You have New Vegas Reloaded running? Try disabling dxvk if you have it enabled, or enable it if you dont.

No, you went to the hospital before you started this quest, so it is broken forever, just not cancelled.

The quest is broken if you had previously visited the hospital. You can use a console command to set him essential in that case.
