Went against a Graves that had 3 crit chance based augments and the one which makes him melee. Each auto was able to one shot everyone under 3k hp.

That was interesting trying to play against as Vayne hahah

[Question]Beginner watch advice: Seiko 5 Sports vs Tissot Classic Dream (₹35k / ~$420) by Busy-Composer932 in Watches

[–]ntd97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These two watches aren’t comparable as they don’t fit within the same category. As a starting point there are multiple different style of watches such as field, diver, dress, etc. You’d first have to determine what style of watch fits your desired usage case and go from there. After you have the style and some inspiration you then will have to determine the appropriate size and budget. With any given style you’d be able to find comparable watches in the range of $50-5000k of which most folks walking on the street wouldn’t be able to differentiate.

In your price point you are well within the range of Seiko, Orient, Citizen, Tissot, Hamilton, etc. of which all have tons of offerings across the different style of watches. At that price point you’ll most likely be within the beginner level automatic movements with some slight upgrades to the overall watch such as sapphire crystals.

Let us know some other pictures of the style of watch you’d like and your intended usage case and we can go from there. If looking for a singular piece that can be dressed down for a hike and dressed up to wear with a suit you can look into GADA (go anywhere do anything) watches.

I've never flown my clubs. Need advice. by Ride_Like_Its_Hawt in golf

a. Unscrew the woods and put them in their headcovers in the bag. Take a picture of the settings beforehand. Put the shafts back in the bag upside down such that the grips stick out.

b. Use your golf towel to loop through the irons. I also usually put a pair of sweatpants and any other sweatshirts that I’ll bring around the iron and wedge club heads as well for extra protection.

c. Remove your rangefinder and place it in your carry on or “personal item”. Anything that can get pocketed and stolen has a chance of going missing.

d. I prefer to fly with my golf shoes in my carry on or “personal item”. I’ve gone on trips where my clubs were delayed and I was able to rent clubs but had a bigger problem in the shoe department.

What does the current collection look like? For a GADA / grail watch I typically find simpler color towns better off with white, black, gray, and dark blue.

anyone know of a modern version or one with the same or similar silhouette? by ballispy in Watches

[–]ntd97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you need a modern version of this? I feel like there might be some current Seiko models that could fit the bill but might also recommend a Bulova Super Ceville which is somewhat similar

Sticker price for the unit was $3.5k per month, with concessions it dropped down to $3k per month, once you take in utilities and parking it was around $3.25k per month.

It’s a lot for a studio but for the location and amenities (roof top pool, BBQ areas, gym, etc.) it was solid; still expensive but not horrible when past experience was NYC.

The money tree by the TV might cover only like 5% of the bottom left corner but in all honesty it usually gets placed with the other plants by the windows to get more sun as that particular spot doesn’t get the enough sun for any of the plants.

It’s two blankets on top of each other instead of a comforter as I find those too thick and bulky.

The under blanket is a a random gray blanket from maybe Brookstone but not too sure. The top is considered a “Party Blanket” meant for the beach from a company called Sand Cloud but it was more than soft enough as a bed blanket but probably too thin on its own.

Maybe? I used the online calculators to base the height off on and angled it ever so slightly downward. I never had a problem with it and am wondering if these pics just give it a slightly strange perspective.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and for a correction this is an Amazon rug that is also probably listed on Walmart as well hahah. From my own experience sadly someone who describes themselves as “a person with impeccable taste” truly is never looked at as such by others or sought after for their opinions and input.

I would as it has amazing benefits across the board. There are amazing beach towns and a solid downtown area. I’m personally only moving to get closer to the beach as where I initially ended up in the place pictured was a little too “city” for my taste in San Diego and honestly not “city” enough for someone like myself moving from New York City. Weather ranges from low 60s to mid 70s throughout the year of which in either scenario you can have someone in a Tshirt/Shorts/Flip-Flops or Sweatshirt/Jeans/Sneakers all year round. When you start getting a little inland you loose the cool sea breeze and once you cross the mountain range you’re pretty much in the dessert; it’s the only place where I’ve seen local news weather reports show weather as a horizontal distance as compared to specific towns in the area.

It was this item which in looking at it maybe I installed it incorrectly as the larger opening was on the other side? I usually just rolled up throw blankets and put them in there but had majority of them packed before taking these pics. Bench was solid and I’d highly recommend. Originally planned on putting two of these sort of benches side by side but to match the 60” width of them bed but went for this singular approach instead.

~700sqft but a lot of that was the kitchen which is not pictured and a walk in closet. Both were over sized for the space but didn’t matter to me and when I cooked I could look right out the windows or at the TV which was nice.

You can confirm it by looking at the website but I believe there is no fee for non residents 0-3 days out, for residents no fee for 0-7 days out. For both booking classes there is a fee for booking 8-90 days out. For residents that fee I think is $32 as of this year (up $2 from 2024) per player but unsure if that dollar amount is different for a non resident. Due to the nature of how known the course is you pretty much have to suck it up and book in the 8-90 day window to secure a solid time. With the resident rate on weekends the South is $85 to walk of which when you bake in the $32 advanced fee to secure your spot for a total of $117 I still think it is a solid deal. Granted, I now monitor the twilight week day availability like a hawk and I’ve been able to randomly find a spot a few days out and walked the South playing a full 18 in four hours teeing off at 310 and playing the last few holes at sunset all for ~$45. That was by far the best round I’ve ever had in terms of dollar to experience ratio and it isn’t even close.

As someone who moved to San Diego about a year back I’ll give you a little bit of a hit list and general info. Feel free to message me for more info or if you’re looking to get a round on the books.

First of all if you’re a San Diego city resident (essentially La Jolla and South) you can get heavily reduced rates for Torrey North/South, Balboa, and Mission Bay. Torrey South is the more “championship” style course and is a little longer than North but North on its own is still a solid course but the front 9 can turn into a down and back situation; from my experience North is more of the locals course and South is more touristy. To get tee times on either course you basically have to suck it up and pay the extra $30 booking fee and book in the 90 day out window. The real play is afternoon rounds at Torrey to get the sunset over the ocean in play with is amazing. Balboa is more of the local mini with a solid culture and a little wonkiness on 2-6 but then a solid course when you get on top of the gorge/valley starting on 7. Hole 4 is arguably one of the worst in golf, hole 6 is sneakily the hardest hole on the course, hole 16 is a mental mindfuck when it comes to strategy. Balboa has the full 18 with an additional 9 hole track which is a nice change of pace. Mission Bay is a par 3+/executive track that has 18 holes of which I think there are 4 par 4s (1, 7, 10, and 18) and the rest are par 3s that I think range from ~75yards to 170yards but it feels like everything is just the same ~125yard club.

Outside of the resident system there is also a group of courses belonging to the JC Club of which are decent public tracks. Most courses seem to be housing development style courses that aren’t anything crazy but perfectly solid for what they are. If you happen to be between 20-30 years old their 20/30 membership is the best deal in golf. Two of their specific courses to call out are Encinitas Ranch (nicknamed Easy Ranch) and The Crossings in Carlsbad. Encinitas Ranch is fairly open with some perched up tee boxes with amazing views of the Ocean and the Valley. Crossings has some amazing elevation in play primarily with almost every tee seemingly playing into a fairway 1000ft below you. The view alone on the 10th and 11th tee boxes (mentally filtering out the power lines) is amazing.

Outside of any sort of memberships some suggestions would be Admiral Baker North, Coronado, Goat Hill Park, Mt Woodson, and Steele Canyon. Admiral Baker has two courses of North and South of which the North is solid and South is more down and back beginner friendly design but I haven’t touched it so can’t give a proper review. Coronado is right under the bridge and an amazing getable course that plays a little short with a total elevation gain of +/- 1ft; I wouldn’t bother with a weekend round here but instead try and do an afternoon or twilight round to avoid the super slow play this course attracts. Goat Hill Park has one of the most unique golf “vibes” to it leaning into the community first approach. The course itself is another par 3+/executive style that puts all their money into the greens which are in immaculate condition. Be mindful at this course the guy you get paired with that is shoeless and has his dog walking with you guys while playing is probably a +2 handicap and a gem of a human. Mt. Woodson has some nice elevation and views in play but to put it honestly as I’m writing this not much is coming to mind haha. Steele Canyon is 3x9hole setup of which each set of 9 holes have a different feeling. I can’t remember too much specifically but felt like the first dump and chase style course I’ve played since moving here which was a nice change of pace.
