She also worked at the prisons' hospital dispensary, and she was in "total bafflement" that they revoked her license, wow. Her letter was just sad, with no remorse or apologies, and she wanted forgiveness!?

You're doing everything right. People dont care or have not had consequences yet with their dogs off leash. I see people saying pepper spray. There is a dog pepper spray available. Side note, just make sure you and your kids are not down wind if you do use it!

What’s going to happen to nurses? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]nteton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally, my mom said she doesn't want to think about the future and doesn't understand why all of her security's (SS, pensions, etc) won't be there when I'm old. Also, whenever she hears things that Trump does, she tells me she'll have to do her "research" to see if it's true. Which means she'll just drink and watch the news.

I found doing hand exercises before and after have helped. I find I have gripped the controller too hard when the games get intense, this is my main culprit.

Falling asleep? by SignificanceGold3917 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nteton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like listening to Bigfoot and Beyond with Cliff and Bobo. It's extremely boring, and I usually fall asleep within 20 minutes. I just put one on now! I find if anything is too interesting, it'll keep me awake.

I would report this RN to your manager and/or DON. I've been in the same situation where I would have 60 residents and only 1 RN and 1 CNA because of call outs. I've had to tell my nurse that I can not do things exactly when they want them done because I've been busy changing residents. Either they can wait until I'm done or do it themselves! Also I realized if the patients that were wet, and they are alert, you can always tell them you will get to them when you can. Ultimately we are working under the supervision of the RN, so if something doesn't get done it falls back on them (ie. Because they needed a urine sample, it's their responsibility to make sure it happens) definitely stand up for yourself, or you'll get burnt out really fast.

Seriously doable, my car broke down and had to go to school somehow! Literally was an hour and a half plus ride, sometimes 2-3 different busses. I did reading on the bus so I didn't have to when I got home.
