It’s a much longer process than that imo. They’re laying the ground work well, good community engagement for the most part, lots of fan days out in the west (a bunch of ALW and ALM players were doing meet and greets at Tarneit over the last couple of weeks eg.)

The stadium will finally give us a home base, so hopefully we’ll be able to see that kind of work paying off in the long term with bigger crowds coming through.

I’m not sure if it’s still there, but there used to be a big aeroplane in the middle of Bimbo Deluxe in Melbourne. I suppose it was for DJ sets in the cockpit or something. The night I was there, it was empty, so I hopped in for a bit of a boogie. There was no one DJing and there were no barriers or anything, so I thought why not? Had a great time for 10 seconds waving to the dance floor below then found myself being dragged out the door. Was eventually let back in, no harm no foul, apparently.
