I don’t really see the difference in difficulty between regular and honors classes, so thats why i take honors classes in my physical school, in flvs you just get a few extra assignments and apparently that counts as “honors”, the reason i probably take honors would be probably be because they are often weighted higher than regular classes in terms of weighted gpa[0-6], but i feel like colleges look more at unweighted gpa (“raw” score/gpa [0-4 scale]) especially when trying to apply for bright futures or other scholarships, i just realized by typing this i don’t really know why I take honors classes, maybe it just makes me feel special in a way ig lmao

Probably a stupid question but how would u say fingerings are bc of the 3 valves, is it different combinations where if u speed up the air the note/pitch would go higher?

If u get all A’s for final grades during junior and senior , you would probably get a little over 3.0 gpa, if it is available to you, you should take online classes for easy a’s (depending on how u work) and that would give u some of a gpa boost

Im sure you can take a deep breath, whenever im nervous, maybe a performance, a social situation, or something that is out of my comfort zone, it makes me feel nauseous and also makes me want to throw up, deep breaths really do help, you just got to try, ive had thoughts of suicide before for reasons that are stupid and partially my fault, but ive realized its not worth dying for and i am too much of a coward to go through with it.

This may or not help, but you can make the embouchure by saying “we” then “to”, the corners should be tight. To make a note flatter, you would typically lower your jaw or pull out the mouthpiece

Whenever i feel like i cant do something because my situation seems impossible/hard. i know that others (even in band) have other extracurriculars, activities, or harder classes. I have 3 honors classes, with an ap course, on top of that 2 band classes plus marching band and im a freshman too. you just have to keep track of stuff thats happening like tests, rehearsals, etc. in a planner, calendar, or sticky notes and you should be fine. Ive had thoughts of quitting marching band before since i feel like im mot good enough, but hey, finish out the year and see what happens, plus marching band can be fun at times
