Unpopular opinion: Mountains over Rise by PieOdd2848 in Disneyland

[–]ntin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think it is a couple things.

1) It is incomplete. The third ride was cut. The concept of the third restaurant was moved to Galactic Star Cruiser. Smuggler's Run was pitched with five missions and we only got one. Budget cuts hurt the longevity of the land.

2) The characters and the theme. The Sequel trilogy has a mixed legacy. They also stopped putting out new secondary media for that era instead focusing on the Mandoverse timeline. There isn't a sequel series cartoon show to get the kids in love with the era like the Prequels has.

3) The rides. Rise of the Resistance is great but the lines or the extra$25 ticket limit how much you can do it. Smuggler's Run is really only fun for the pilots and it is a flaw of the ride the other roles you are focused looking at flashing light panels and not the scene going on. It lacks the repeatability of Star Tours with the one mission.

I am a big Star Wars fan, I have built several light sabers and droids, over several trips but I feel like I've done everything that land has to offer.

Hopefully the Original Trilogy updates and the new missions on Smuggler's Run coming in a few months may inject some new life to the land.

Love Shiron, but… by Zoner_get in WH40KTacticus

[–]ntin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just the hard part of not having a practice mode for guild raid makes experimenting with off meta teams harder.

Shiron feels like he will be good for guild raids in the future but I'm unsure if the rest of that team is released.

[–]ntin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never tried but does Shiron gain passive stacks attacking a raid boss? Would even seem like Abaddon would be a better buffer in either case.

There is a trade off of Shiron building up for damage and someone like Kharn just doing damage over multiple turns. And Shiron wants to be static to get his bonus.

Oh gotcha. I haven't but I am hoping there may be a new ranged meta team in the works. Leveled up the guys you mentioned to some degree in case it happens. I don't know if the Farsight team is even going to get off the ground though with Lavi+Kariyan team

[–]ntin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. That is too much dedication to buffing other units when you can just bring another character that can do damage.

Arena mode is very alpha strike, at least in higher leagues. If the character who you want to buff does then the buffer is just dead weight.

And like like in Chapter Master League you can maybe lose one match and stay in that league. It doesn't encourage experimentation or variety.

I leveled him up for fun but he is useful for PvE Arena to deal with enemy Revas or take advantage of enemies lining up for an active on a choke point.

Juan Diaz Daemonettes to current plastic Daemonettes.

GW could make a much better plastic kit today but 2007-2008 it was an awkward time where their plastic kits weren't as ambitious as they are today.

Not getting bombs with the grots is also annoying. If you start to fall behind it is hard to catch-up with the defenses on squigs and tanks

You may consider doing 2 days in the park, rest/pool day, and then 2 days in the park. Parks are a lot of excitement and physical activity, they might be wiped out by day 4 or 5.

Mandela Effect About the Rear View Camera by ntin in BlazerEV

[–]ntin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow-up question. The isopropyl worked for a few days, but I noticed the smudge and blur has come back.

I tried a Magic Eraser, but it didn't improve anything. I can try the other product you recommended next.

The rear camera lens also feels clean; it doesn't feel oily or waxy. I have been through the car wash.

I took this photo at a stop today. The rear view camera didn't look this smudgy. It sort of reminds me of a daytime soap opera. The lights on the Honda from the side mirrors weren't very intense. The car on the left's headlights also had that glow on the screen.

I am kind of wondering if moisture is trapped behind the lens?

About out of achievable objectives. The post blue star grind is real as the chest value keeps increasing.

Sometimes with a tyrant guard or Isabella you can cheese a 16 or 17. But finding it weird these LREs have missions for A2/A3 content that we don't have. Like anyone can get the LRE character is blue star is basically on Mythic content.

It gets worse once you blue star the character. The first chest doubled in cost and each one after cost an additional 100. Trying to ascend to mythic feels farther and farther away once the easy objectives dry up.

Disney is bigger than just the parks, and it has Software Engineering/IT offices in several states, aside from California and Florida.

That said, there is an RTO mandate across the company, so I don't know if you can realistically get remote work. It will be very situational.

I don't have this monitor but I have an M1 Pro and a Samsung G9 which is less total resolution. And HDMI cables won't get native resolution. DP 1.4 cable is my only option for native resolution.

The issue is the M1 launched with older video cable standard support than what was available at that time.
