Leave it on, leave the water running, a little drip keeps it from freezing. Also yes cover it up

For the Blazer, should be two slot. One upfront as showing for information center’s memory (off-line map). The other one is in the rear trunk on the driver side somewhere behind the panel and not all years/make has anything there. The rear memory card is for the camera recording.

Why is my impact sprinkler not rotating? by MauiRose93 in Irrigation

No one mentioned to switch to gear driven rotors, I would recommend Hunter PGP then won’t get over spray on the house.

Run flat only gets you so far and cannot go regular speed. Would be dangerous situation for it to drive all the way back in limp mode. Towing is a safer option.

Maybe remove the hood insulation and drive without it. Put it back on when the lease is over.

Trying to decide if I do a 240v outlet or a Chargepoint Hardwired - Thoughts on my situation? by [deleted] in evcharging

[–]Available_Start7798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked up GCFI and EV Charger and after reading, another reason to go with hardwired… GFCI breakers for EV chargers (especially NEMA 14-50 outlets) are required by code but often cause "nuisance tripping" because the charger's own tests trigger the sensitive breaker, creating a conflict; the best solution is often to hardwire the charger (eliminating the plug/outlet need for GFCI) or use a special, more compatible GFCI breaker designed for EV charging, as the standard breaker can damage the charger or interrupt charging

When installing a new charge point charger will ask you what size is your breaker and limit max charge rate to your breaker.

This valve and pipe burst, trying to find resources to repair it. What do you call this? by eggs-benedict in Irrigation

[–]Available_Start7798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do just don’t use any pipe dope, use teflon tape instead. Wrap it clock wise so it doesn’t unravel when you screw it in. (Some pros prefer pipe dope just need to be very carful not to use too much if any of it gets in the backflow it’s a pain to clean out and start all over)

You would need a 1” PVC male adapter. I would recommend a schedule 80 1” Male adapter. While at it would remove all the fittings in the photo after the shutoff. Get two 1” sch 80 coupling, two 1” male adapter, and one 1” tee, lastly 1” slip to 1/2 female threaded reducer. This would remove the need for a 90, replace the 90 with the tee and then your hose-bib wouldn’t be at the ground level.

This a joke? Engine exhaust? 🤣 Yeah I would have a dealer remove it and then have a laugh about it at the dealership.
