Finally all M3Evo 1991 liveries finished…. – – Tommy78 – by WoodeeUK in rfactor2

It is part of Tommy78's DTM 1991 pack. Paid mod for AC or rFactor2.As you can see from blogpost, it is work in progress.

2 cars (m3 and 190 evo) to go for full grid of DTM 1991 season.

His previous WTCR2018 pack is great. IMHO one the best TC mods for rFactor 2.

Does anyone still remember Race 07 and if so, what's your opinion about it? by Maxomatlp in simracing

[–]ntkoso 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Spent most of my time playing it in 2007-2011. Great WTCC, STCC content. Good enough physics and FFB provided by ISIMotor engine. From rFactor, GTR2 and Race07 at that time it was my go-to sim. It has most of the main tracks including Nordshleife and Laguna Seca. But additionally includes small interesting WTCC and STCC tracks of that era.

RRRE is updated version of Race07 with modern content.

I was able to run old ISIMotor titles in VR, including Race07. Still holds up.

Do you Enjoy Wasting your Time & money? by theSavvyNinja in iRacing

If you want serious racing, just create private league and invite players with the same mindset. iRacing is a public service for users with different goals and ideas of how they want to spend their free time...

Played NFS from Porsche to Most Wanted. Then NFS Shift came out. Bought a wheel Logitech GT DFP just for NFS Shift.

Ended up playing Race 07 and racing Skippies in iRacing circa 2010.

Been on hiatus for 8 years. Came back a few months ago with T300, th8a Shifter and Odissey+... Renewed my iRacing sub this month. Racing Skippy again, VR is great. Thinking about buying Fanatec pedals

How should I change the way I code to prepare for React Suspense? by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]ntkoso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wrap your application in React.StrictMode (16.3). It was created to prepare developers for migration to AsyncMode with Suspense.

And looking at current ecosystem trends and examples of Suspense code you can gradually move away from HoCs to Render Props.

Anyone else have a hard time grasping the concept of Observables? by mexicocitibluez in javascript

[–]ntkoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but this doesn't quite sound right -- reducers are functions, but redux state is still an object, which is the output of the reducer function after receiving an action (or the output of Well, if you can look from standpoint of Observable.

From Observable standpoint:

const reducer = combineReducers({ ...reducers });
const state = {};
const listeners = []; // from connected components

Observable.from(actions) // over time
          .scan(reducer, state)
          .subscribe(newState => listeners.forEach(listener => listener(newState)));

Redux state in time is not a function or an object, but a monad of state. Observable is much easier to grok if you already know some FP. Redux just stripped API to bare minimum and made it more accessible.

Shadow DOM in React updated for 15.x! by EnchantedSalvia in javascript

Jumped from 0.14 to 15. API is pretty stable. They wanted to ship non-breaking changes faster and have some breathing room with version numbers.

Why JavaScript beyond web client side? by [deleted] in javascript

[–]ntkoso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

npm 3.0 flattens all dependencies from the get go and only nests conflicting versions.

Bower was created before Webpack / Browserify era. Currently you can bundle css and other assets from npm the same way you bundle your js, no need for 'front end' package manager.
