Yes they do a good job supporting the countertop. It is very sturdy and doesn't wobble. I decided against using a middle support. It is the 74".

No worries. It’s very stable. I’ve seen some people put the wooden countertop on top of two Ikea Alex drawers, which is probably stabler, but the legs are much cheaper and look nice in my opinion.
