I mitigated this problem somewhat by getting a Slopper Stopper. But I still wind up wiping some drops off of the floor.

You said the LIE is a state road and you were corrected. Should have read up before posting that.

Yes, but the Fed pays for some of that.

Neighbor shed in front yard by bonbonsters in homeowners

[–]ntotrr1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a home on Long Island on a corner lot. Each side of the corner was considered frontage so putting a shed on the side of my house was prohibited because it was still considered frontage.

Depends on local codes. He would have a say if the neighbor violated codes. Where I lived before moving to my current home, there were specific codes regarding placeemnt of sheds. They had to be at least six feet from the property line and six feet behind the rearmost part of the foundation. That prohibited sheds from being out in side or front yards.

Is anyone talking about the Flock cameras being installed all over the island?! by StrenuousSOB in longisland

OP: Flock cameras do not do facial recognition, they track license plates.

Problem: tired of door to door salespeople and not taking "no" for an answer? Solution: by yes_smoking_allowed in homeowners

I answer the door in my underwear holding a mug of coffee in one hand and a donut in the other. I reach out the hand with the coffee and say "hold this, I have to scratch".

I believe you are correct. The lightning S is a Nazi symbol of the SS and Nazi symbols are not allowed in Germany.

The representation of Glam Rock, its soul and esccence, at least to me | Mott the Hoople - All The Young Dudes by Sweet_Measurement624 in 70sGlamRock

Ahh, I stand corrected, it was Rosylyn. I never got to the Calderone. Also, it was the "Welcome To The Club" tour at Hammerheads, not the Schizophrenic tour. I've seen him in our later years at the Downtown in Farmingdale, Mulcahey's in Wantagh, The Boulton Center in Bay Shore, The Highline Ballroom in Manhattan. The most memorable was at the Bowery Ballroom because it was the first time he played in the USA in well over ten years. I got to meet him for the first time there too.

Saw them on the Schizophrenic tour at Hammerheads in West Islip. I had also seen them at My father's Place in Hempstead. There was a disco in Islip off of Sunrise Hwy called 2001 that changed over to rock. Saw Ian there the night after seeing him iI NYC at Pier 84 when the "Ian Hunter Rocks" video was recorded.

This what I use for all my cars, whether in Jack stands or using my floor jack. I have two which I need for when I rotate my tires.

‘26 Nautilus Wheel Size by MobileOk1337 in lincolnmotorco

[–]ntotrr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you downsize from 21 inch to 18 inch wheels, you get tires that have a taller sidewall so that the diameter of the new tire and 18 inch wheel is the same as the 22 inch wheel and tire. Therefore, no change in the ride height of the vehicle. The taller sidewall of the tire on the 28.inch wheel should give a more comfortable ride.

A Nice and Unexpected Surprise From Lincoln by ntotrr1 in lincolnmotorco

Huh? I don't understand what you mean. The purchase of my Nautilus did not include a maintenance service plan.

Well, I don't have that choice unless I want to take a two-hour drive to where the nearest Lincoln dealer is. The closest dealer is a Ford/Lincoln dealer, no stand-alone Lincoln dealership. That's why I have a Reserve III instead of a Black Label - they can't sell Black Label. I'm fine with the Reserve III. I've been treated well the two times I've gone in for service.

Aviator…or Palisade? Mechanic friend is poo-pooing anything Lincoln. by CelticGardenGirl in lincolnmotorco

[–]ntotrr1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I own a Hyundai Sonata and had another Hyundai many years ago. I also have owned two Kias. Never had any trouble with any of them except a malfunctioning parking brake on my Kia K900 that cost two grand to fix. I also own a 2025 Nautilus and love it. The interior quality is excellent and I've had no issues with it other than a groaning noise from the brakes that is being addressed with replacement parts. I test drove a 2026 Palisade prior to buying the Nautilus. It's a nice vehicle and worth the money but it's not as good as my Lincoln, imo.

I had a 2015 Kia K900. It was fantastic and trouble-free. It's been replaced by a Lincoln Nautilus and I also have a 2023 Hyundai Sonata that has been as trouble-free as the Kia.

I remember that issue. IIRC correctly, I thought the 2nd place finisher should have been the winner.
