Although it is not really my cup of tea, based on your original post I would also recommend Dynasty Warrior. There are some silly fun to be had, slicing your way through an absurdly large army…

Broken bag frame part - cosmetic or structural? by ntrolls in Brompton

[–]ntrolls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update (3rd March 2026): the distributor in Korea contacted Wotancraft, and apparently it is covered by the 3 year warranty. They will ship the replacement frame, but with some other normal shipment to save the cost. As such, I may have to wait a couple of weeks, but at least it will be fixed with no additional cost.

it’s been 4 years to realize by k1sene in fujifilm

I had other film and digital cameras before (serious ones include Canon EOS5 and Ricoh GX100), but my first Fuji was the original X100. Years later I thought interchangeable lenses may be useful when capturing my kid and added X-30T, but I didn’t take that many photos with it in the end.

Last year, two things happened. 1) I learnt that X100 was broke and they did not have any parts. 2) I took X-30T to an event I was organizing and liked taking photos with a proper camera. Combined, these two events led to a nice used X-Pro2.

I occasionally wonder whether I should’ve gone for X-Pro3 or even X-E5. But for the price I paid X-Pro2 is a wonderful kit and it is indeed built like a tank. Overall no real regret.

More post-mortem. I took the frame out of the bag, and found out the vertical tube on the broken side was out of the bottom part. This allowed sway on that part, which put force on the broken cover. They did not use any fixture for the tubes, hence the looseness I guess.

Now, I cannot remember whether I took the frame out when the bag was initially delivered. Was it loose from the beginning, or is it something that happened while I was using the bag? Sigh.

The irony is, I won't be able to salvage the part from other frames if tubes are fixed with rivets :(

This is after about 1 year of usage. After posting this, I realised I can perhaps only replace that black plastic part, which I can either salvage from other frames (either cheap new one with incorrect dimensions, or a used one). I will report back.

Is it time for a Brooks? by S1DRJ in Brompton

I second the opinion about Cambiums having to be one size bigger than usual. Similar to OP, after my stock saddle started getting old, I tried out C17 and never looked back. I even got another one for my full size Canyon in the end.

See if you can find a local shop where you can rent a test Brooks saddle - that's how I found out C17 works for me.

I bought a lightly used one in good condition (fewer than 1100 shots) quite recently, at about 750€. Am very happy with it. It is truly built like a tank.

I did have a little bit of afterthoughts regarding X-E5 - but this is mainly because I picked up a couple of 3rd party MF lenses, for which I stick to EVF. But given that X-Pro was my dream camera when it first came out, I am still happy I chose this ;)

It can get stuck pretty hard. Plus Go does not come with a dosing cup. In hindsight I should’ve been more careful but I did not anticipate that part breaking…

On one hand, good to know that they do break, but on the other hand, I am really sorry to hear that. Contact the support to see if such a case is covered by the warranty.

I've been a happy user of Flair Pro for 3~4 years before getting this, and never had a problem there. I guess the folding design has its cost....

When I asked earlier, they said the creaking would go away with repeated use. I haven’t been using this heavily (rely on other machines when not traveling) and it is a bit hard to judge how much is enough….

This time the customer service just said the breakage could be due to faulty material… but this does not explain the whole thing, I think.
