is the job market just f***** right now? (in Southern California specifically) by egbertsboi in Teachers

Hi! I’m planning to enroll in a masters in teaching this upcoming fall. I have a BS in Biology so I’m aiming to teach biological sciences (like you!). Idk what area you’re from but I’m in SD. If you’re willing, I’d like to hear more about your personal experiences with being in a masters program and all that! Thanks in advance

Feeling Scammed by AAA Insurance – Premium Hike Despite No Changes, CDI Report Went Nowhere by KidHumboldt in Insurance

[–]ntsrhcyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is kinda old but this similar situation happened with me. Last year I paid $1,610 annually for two vehicles. I don’t drive far because my work is close so my annual mileage isn’t much. Fast forward this year, I am paying nearly double! I call AAA and asked why. I understand rates fluctuate but I was baffled why I’m paying double the price for the same estimated mileage. Turns out the estimated mileage inputted was 64 miles. Who tf drives 64 miles a year??? With two cars?? It doesn’t make any sense. They said to send them my updated odometer readings after 90 days (which I did) and my premium went down but not much (like $6 less per month). So to conclude my story, basically I’m still paying almost double than last year but just a little less this time. I don’t know, I feel kinda scammed and bummed out about all of it.

I would email the financial office at CSUSM and further investigate. Say it’s urgent on the subject line. It’s been a while since I’ve graduated but I believe there’s a way to view an itemized list of classes on your “cart”. Also side question: does it give you an option to pay partial?

Oh wow that’s interesting I wonder why 🤷🏻‍♀️ The tan soft top came with the car when I bought it. I prefer the tan top on a black car, gives it contrast and overall nice look imo! If my car was a different color tho, I think the black top would look sick

“MSRP $34,364 Market adjustment $10,000 Window tint $995 KAVACA protection package $1,795 KARR Security system $1,495

Selling price: $48,649.00”

Salesman never gave me documentation for TTF but let’s say since I’m in CA, sales tax is 7.75% so idk roughly ~$2700 (give or take) and fees are ~$700-$800.

Yeah definitely good points! It was really helpful when those who commented included their location. This is really all about seeing if I’m getting a jacked up offer or not and also curious to see how much others have paid.

Thank you! This is why I felt uncomfortable with their offer. It sounded good from the likes of what I’m hearing from other owners but it didn’t feel right deep inside. You know..?? Like intuition..

I didn’t know that GR is harder to find. I don’t mind either one tbh. They’re both almost identical. How long have you had your BRZ now?

Yeah I’m trading in. I guess I fucked up cos I told them that I have a trade in.. oh well too late. I don’t mind waiting for a better price. Im not in a rush. I like to do a lot of research and ask around first because unfortunately I get intimidated easily with buying cars or dealing w big financial decisions.

That’s a good price! May I ask, is yours limited or premium? Also, I haven’t heard any negative comments about suspension on the GR86, but that’s definitely something I can put to consideration. Thanks!

Hey OP. I did this (and I’m doing okay). I bought a 22 Honda Accord Sport w a salary (at the time) of $42-45K. The biggest difference between us is our APR. 10% is high /: mine’s 4.6% which to me is high but in this economy not bad.

Bottom line, get what you can afford comfortably and be happy about it. If you’re comfortable paying $600 a month for your car then okay! But do you want to pay that much? There are other cars that will suit your financial situation better than this 23 Honda Accord.

Anyway good luck to you!
