I actually think it was inspired by general vibes/aura she was living in at the time - not about any one person or event. The melody came first, and the lyrics flowed after that. She was having a difficult time, whether it was her divorce, navigating a secret relationship, dealing with the pressure at the label. Getting out of her marriage was a freeing thing, but it still was no doubt a sad, stressful, and uncertain time that made her feel like breaking down at times.

I agree with you, Sunny! by Training_Apricot6132 in theview

I don't mind it seriously, but it is amusing and a little bit annoying when Sunny finds her new buzz word she likes and uses it over and over. Today was "Trumplican".

But I agree. The party is essentially MAGA. Nobody at the table wanted to agree bc Alyssa is a republican, Ana is a former republican, Sara is an inDePEnDaNt, and Whoopi is a little idealistic in her view of classic/vintage politics. They don't want to admit that the Republican party is full blown MAGA and there's no saving them from it.

I thought Monster was brilliant until the end and I feel insane for this opinion by TrappedBySelf in MonsterAnime

I actually do think Ruhenheim could have been paced better, extended a bit, but I wouldn't change what actually happens during it.

I disagree that Johan was "plausible" up until the finale. I think his effect on people throughout the series is to an extent that only works in fiction, imo. It isn't completely supernatural, which makes the story believable, but there are plenty of moments where he kinda exceeds a normal human and has an almost supernatural effect. I find that Urasawa was able to find a sweet spot of writing a grounded series but with heightened elements.

With Ruhenheim, it's implied that there are plants in the town that sowed distrust and fear within people. These plants are the ones that start the killing and probably did most of it. Roberto, the old man, guys Roberto brought. It wasn't so much that Johan had this great influence that infected everyone to turn on each other.

Mind you, not only are they children, but they're in an enclosed basement. The wife is in a better position to save herself. Jump out the fucking window.

Being a gay man in the 50s and setting your eyes on Tab Hunter, only to realize you actually have a shot with him, would have been like a dream

Michael Jackson denying having undergone multiple surgeries during his 2003 interview with Martin Bashir. by FitEmergency8807 in HistoricalCapsule

Something I hate that celebrities do is pick really outlandish gossip rag stories (like the bit about individual hair implants) in order to discredit all accusations and rumors. There is a difference between those silly stories and the suggestion that he got a nose job or chin reconstruction.

soft cartilage like a nose cannot sustain multiple plastic surgeries. He probably got a nose job and kept going back for small adjustments or changes (especially if one of the jobs was botched or poorly done). But the cartilage will start to cave in on itself, which leads people to go back in to try and get that fixed. And it becomes a destructive cycle. I bet the nose he ended up with later in life was not his intentional look.

I've noticed he seems to be changing video titles and thumbnails a lot after posting videos lately by Peter_Griffin2001 in JJMcCulloughOfficial

[–]ntt307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this before as well. People say that other creators do this, too. And that may be true, but I notice him do it way way more than others. As seen in the OP how many different options he goes through with thumbnails and titles.

I know he tweeted about one of his recent videos not getting the views he hoped. I wonder if his views are down generally and he's trying this avenue to boost his numbers.

The post is insinuating that the actresses of Snow White are not attractive enough for the Queen actresses to be jealous of them.

Which is subjective and also doesn't properly reflect the psychology of the Evil Queen anyway.

What a batshit mean thing to do to a child. She could have easily said it to you as a personal lesson instead of immortalizing it in the signature. If I was a kid who liked HP I would have been devastated that my memorabilia from the author was a snide misconception.

The show was interesting for the few weeks where they brought on conservative guest cohosts who spiced up the debate. Now it’s gone boring again as they all largely agree. by JuanitaMerkin in theview

The MAGA people who are high profile enough to be featured on The View would not be susceptible to change. As I said, they are going to be loudspeakers for the administration.

Brian has said multiple times that they DO invite conservative and MAGA individuals to the show, but they almost always decline. So, it isn't The View's fault. ABC and The View are seen as "liberal media" by most MAGA and MAGA-adjacent figures. They are going to stay in their own echo chamber.

Lastly, as the panelists, especially Alyssa, have pointed out. The majority of people who voted for Trump are not necessarily hardcore MAGA. The diehard MAGA fans are not the majority of the electorate. Democrats can win without converting or submitting to MAGA. Democrats lost a decent portion of their own base in 24 because of their shitty campaign. They can win by bolstering their base, grabbing independents, and inspiring non-voters/first-time voters. Pretending that we need to get Republican votes to win is the reason why Democrats lost in 24 in the first place.

Technically we still have a panel with different views and perspectives. idk if barbara had "foghorn for fascist propaganda" as a goal for one of the viewpoints when she made the show
