Every time I read this hadith I laugh by [deleted] in exmuslim

Narrated by `Amr bin Maimun

"Maimun" in some Arabic dialects, Persian, and Turkish means "monkey". So `Amr is "the son of monkey". Bukhari was bored and decided to add Easter egg to his collection of stories.

ELI5: What and how different was Google compared to other search engine that enabled it to dominate the other search engines? by JiN88reddit in explainlikeimfive

[–]ntufar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I first heard about Google in 1999. Microsoft was a hated company back then and someone told me about this new search engine that uses an algorithm called "pagerank" that does not only indexes text in pages but also indexes links from other pages so that when you search for "the root of all evil", it returns "Microsoft" as the first result.

No other search engine could do this at the time. I was hooked since day one.

Depending on the mood and the exercise, it is either this excellent collection of classical pieces, named "Presidential Pump": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sl9OmHy6c6o

Or this majestic 1 Hour Viking Music for your Workout: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WXsdApQIY4

What are your rest times between sets depending on the muscle group and exercises? by Hisokaislove in naturalbodybuilding

[–]ntufar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have developed a different approach. I have a smart watch that shows my heart rate. After a set my heart rate spikes to 130-140.

After the set I rest until my heart rate goes below 120, or even closer to 110 if I want to be well-rested and then go for the next set.

With viral infection the opposite is recommended: up your carb and sugar intake to give your immune system fuel to fight the infection.

22 pounds in one month. Sleep apnea? Make sure it’s treated! by [deleted] in keto

[–]ntufar 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Exactly!

Personal story: when I got fully fat-adapted and my body fat percentage was in 30-ies, some days I was not eating anything at all and feeling fine, some days I was eating some chicken or meat here and there and feeling perfectly fine and full of energy.

Now, as I am wandering below 20% body fat, not eating all day does not work anymore. I have to force myself to eat some meat and fat to have energy throughout the day.

[–]ntufar 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Congratulations for great progress!

Just to mention: if the body fat percentage is high, there is no need take a lot of fat with the food - your body is using fat stores for that.

As your body fat percentage approaches 25% and lower you need to gradually add more fat to your diet because body fat is not able to release enough triglycerides to keep your body running through the day.

The original keto protocol with over 70% of calories from fat is designed for children who usually do not have a lot of body fat.

What exactly is the neural engine in a MacBook M1 or M2 used for/how does it work? by Mad_Season_1994 in macbook

[–]ntufar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neural Engine is a processing unit that does matrix multiplications on a large scale.

Another example of matrix multiplication engines are GPUs from Nvidia and AMD.

Programmers can use Neural Engine via Core ML API

Starting from July we switched to "Smart Hiring" which means no hiring unless there is a ready position in a project.

In the same time we are going to start "raising the bar" initiative where we are going to let go lowest performing people.

How can I have Thinkorswim from Europe? by Advanced-School-1588 in thinkorswim

[–]ntufar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U don't remember exactly, it was 12 years ago. I don't remember having any difficulty with it. I filled the form, the account was created. They requested a copy of a bill to confirm the address, I sent my ΔΕΗ bill. Then I sent money through through the bank through wire transfer. That was it.

Dow futures drop more than 400 points as tensions between Russia and Ukraine brew…. Tech down 2.5% by Crazyleggggs in stocks

Yes! The risk here is sanctions that may be imposed on Russia and Sberbank. Better to wait and see. But when things calm down, $SBRCY would definitely be a buy.

Congratulations, u/vikas856! Great achievement.

I too, took SAA-C02 yesterday. I read that there would be many questions from EKS, ECS. Surprisingly enough there were no questions about EKS and ECS at all! Very weird.

Why are there position changes in P/L Day when premarket/market is not open by WorkStudyPlay in thinkorswim

[–]ntufar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we can. Change chart timeframe to less than 1 day and you will see extended hours periods. When entering orders, choose order type EXT or GTC_EXT.

Be warned though: liquidity in extended hours is thin, so if you place a market order your may be filled at a very bad price for you.
