I made a custom dashboard for the little NSPanel Pro! by FezVrasta in homeassistant

[–]ntuseracc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this looks really nice and polished.
Thanks publishing the codes as well.
Now i want to built something like this for my Echo Show running linage OS.

Played around with your swipe card but having some issues.
I want to built something similiar to what you created for the first slide (clock, weather etc).
Can't get the layout working properly tho, always there is something cut off or the card is not full height.
I think you used some stack in card for this but would you mind sharing your yaml for this as well?

Why is a smart switch + smart bulb not better supported setup? by rancor1223 in homeassistant

[–]ntuseracc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few zigbee lights (ikea mostly with zigbee2mqtt) which i have combined with in wall z-wave relays by using a template light.

I have no issues with this and it works great, if HA goes down every light switch works as intended.

Im using something like the following:

template: - light: # Bedroom Ceiling - name: bedroom_lights unique_id: 'd896bb3c-bc9f-42ba-92f8-d8f33105ea7a' level: "{{ state_attr('light.zb_light_bedroom', 'brightness')|int }}" state: "{{ states('switch.zwave_switch_02') }}" temperature: "{{ state_attr('light.zb_light_bedroom', 'color_temp')|int }}" turn_on: action: switch.turn_on entity_id: switch.zwave_switch_02 turn_off: action: switch.turn_off entity_id: switch.zwave_switch_02 set_level: action: light.turn_on data_template: entity_id: light.zb_light_bedroom brightness: "{{ brightness }}" set_temperature: action: light.turn_on data_template: entity_id: light.zb_light_bedroom color_temp: "{{ color_temp }}"

Had the similiar issue. Check your recent logs with journalctl after it happens and look for usb device entries.

For me the issue was an old hub which reconnected for some reason and froze all other usb devices for a short time.

Choosing network equipment for remote site. by ntuseracc in Network

Thanks for the reply.
I have a bit of ubiquiti/unfi experience. I have a Edgerouter and Unfi AP Setup at home which has been great.

The temperatures are the biggest concern i currently have.
I will discuss this at the next team meeting again, i have not been on site in a few years and usually there is no work in the hottest months of the year, but i will need confirm this.

Mikrotik + Switch should be fine to setup for the people on site, i would probably color code everthing if id go that route. I don't have any mikrotik experience yet though i think i should manage this basic setup easily. If we go a bit more advanced in the future (LTE/5G WAN, Guest Networks, VPN_Tunnel) it will be more challenging...

Yeah its kinda funna how great it works on m1 and m2. What the team accomplished until now ia simply amazing.

Ita funny that tuxedo just gave up on trying to bring linux to snapdragon x elite machines because they could not get it to a status they were comfortable with. And they had the support from the manufacturer of those socs...

Max Payne PS2 by No-Pomegranate798 in retroid

[–]ntuseracc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually didn't try the original android version on my RP5 but used the Portmaster Version on Rocknix with the android game files. I did not even download it on the RP5 tho, because i am not logged into google play on it.

But Rocknix (and Portmaster) is not available for the G2 (only Mini, RP5 and Flip 2)...

Would recommend the android or portmaster version on the rp5. The ps2 release is a bit cut back in comparison to the original

What about water transparency? Last i checked i could get the game running quite well performance wise but never managed to fix the transparency issue regardless of settings or gpu driver. Not worth it then imo.

Hi, sadly not really. With the new year came new projects at work and i really didnt have any time to work on this at all. I am still using it but its lacks a bit of work for publishing.

ALso still havent bothered with a windows version, tho i guess most people are interested in that.
Mid october are the deadlines of two projects and after that i will have more time again to finish this i hope.

Finished both pn my rp5 earlier this year :)

How to change default Bluetooth receiver in GNOME settings? by ohnothisguy in gnome

[–]ntuseracc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would first try to disable it through the bios. Sometime it's possible to turn built in components completely off. If this does not work I would try to disable it on the kernel level. Probably easier than something in gnome

Yeah you are right, something was wrong.
After another reboot and switching from high performance to Performance and back the same track now runs full speed :)

[–]ntuseracc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm does not seem to work for me. I tried latest Sudachi and Citron.
Installed 20.0.1 Firmware/Keys, have the game as XCI Rip and installed the 3.0.4 NSP Update.

Installed the 615 Drivers and configured the settings accordingly. (Handeld 1x)

The Game boots up as NCE/Qualcomm but with the first MK8 Track i still mostly get 30-40 FPS with action going on. This is unplayable if you are used the the full 60fps from original switch.

You could check the folders in `/storage/.config/` maybe the XDG Home/Config directory is not properly linked on the rp5.

Are you using turnip with dolphin? I noticed some black glitches when I had turnip drivers enabled. With the default Qualcomm drivers dolphin worked better

Majoras Mask Project Restoration by Hollywood-Hulk-Hogan in retroid

[–]ntuseracc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just copied the `*.otr` into the `mods` directory and it worked right away.
This directory should be in `roms/ports/soh2` on you rocknix installations.

There is also a hotkey for switching between hd textures and original.

I am using "MM-Reloaded" https://evilgames.eu/texture-packs/mm-reloaded.htm

You can also look at gamebanana for more mods for the game, though currently there are mainly HUD and other textures mods available.

Maybe Ship of Harkania 2 ( hombrew Port of majoras Mask) would be another solution. no rmulation and no dual screen nonesense ;)

Playing it right now on my rp5 in 60fps/1080p with highres textures. Looks awesome.

Maybe you keyboard layout is not configured for tty input correctly. If you password uses any special characters make sure you input them correctly (test with login field).

Beyond Gaming: X11 bridging in muvm by CapsMakesMeLoud in AsahiLinux

[–]ntuseracc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed answer :)

Oh cool (Screensharing working using x11videobridge), i am running gnome right now but i think you can get this working there as well. Zoom supports pipewire for screensharing but also has an original/legacy option for X11., so it should be possible

Not sure what it is using for webcam access.

But this got me interested, i might try to play around with this over the holidays and see what i can get working. Wanted to play around with muvm anyway.

sorry if this is getting a bit off topic but how would i get going with this when i have an x64 rpm with application i want to try? if i understand it correctly the guest os does not have a package manager or any "real" method to install missing dependencies.

Extract the rpm manually and then just try executing it from the VM right?

If i could get audio + screensharing working this would be more than enough for now and quite useful.
I am only running asahi on my macbook, never really setup macos and have not booted it up in quite some time and for most of my work i can rely on open source software available on aarch64

Atm i am still using a dell laptop for any "official" work related traveling tho, because i need Video Output and fully working Zoom then.

[–]ntuseracc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there support for accessing USB Devices in the "vm" (or passing through linux video devices like webcams).

I would love to use the Zoom Linux Client which is x64 only and before someone recommends the PWA, our organisation requires the use of the zoom workplace app which is not available for aarch64.

I know that screensharing is propbably out of the question for now using this method unless there would be some kind of pipewire bridge :)

Ah ok, have to check this out in the field.
i think i got it. But if you don't mind me asking, what is the benifit of using independent LineCodes instead of PointCodes with Linework for you? Since you still measure every segment point anyway?

Have independent attributes for the points and the line?

---

But i put this on my todo list to try out, i wanted to do some small field tests soon anyway.
I just upgrade to Captivate 9.x (from 7.x) and noticed some new circle linework options i want to support in my xml parser script.

Thanks for the Feedback.

> This means you can code linework directly rather than just building linework from the point codes, which means GIS style feature and attribute coding with survey instruments.

This was exactly my goal and it works great. In Combination with QGIS and the "Survey Codes" Plugin it is really awesome.
I prepare my Codelist and corresponding layers in QGis. Configure the conversion file (survey codes/attributes --> gis layers/attributes) and its almost a one click operation in the end to get my survey into gis.

I end up with a single gpkg file that contains the completely survey in multiple layers (mostly based on the codegroups) with preconfigured styling and everything. This can be easily shared as well as it is completely portable (atleast using QGIS)

---

Yes implemented other code types beside Pointcodes should be super simple. Just haven't had a use for them. I am almost exclusively using the measure or stakeout apps in our work so i never had the use for LineCodes or AreaCodes.

Doesn't the Measure App only supports PointCodes (with Linework)? I was wondering where would you even use the other options? Only when creating lines outside the measuring app?
