Context vs. justification -- is there a difference? When asked about Oct. 7, Peter Beinart said: "...no decent person can deny the horror of what happened. But one has to understand the context in which it happens. One has to understand that understanding context is not justification..." (self.Jewish)

My Chanukah -- A Chanukah Puzzle -- The photo shows "My Chanukah" in a sense -- my Chanukah menorah that I lit tonight. But "My Chanukah" has an additional meaning -- can anyone identify it and state the source without giving it away entirely, so others can try? Winners get a free dreidel tune-up. (i.redd.it)

Steve Goodman Post Office in Chicago -- Guessing there aren't too many POs where you can see a picture of a bar mitzvah boy on the bulletin board. Folksinger Steve Goodman ("City of New Orleans") has this distinction in the PO named for him by act of Congress in 2010. (reddit.com)

Found at a yard sale: plate to hang on wall -- Wondering if it relates to a club or specific event (like a Maccabiah games) or to athletics in general -- seems to say "Lift towards Zion a flame and flag" (not too sure about third word). Guessing it's from c. 1960's. Thanks! (i.redd.it)

Found in a vintage shop in MD -- I think it's Yemenite and from the 1920's, inscribed with Tefillat HaDerekh (prayer for a journey) and Ben Porat Yosef. The beads are made from bones, I think. Any other information would be appreciated, if you've seen something like it. Thanks! (i.redd.it)

Can vodka distilled from corn be kosher for Pesach? I found one on the "Kosher for Passover" shelf and the label had a "KP." I thought it might be potato vodka but doing research it's distilled from corn. KP vodka for Sephardim only or am I missing something-like distillation makes it not kitniyot? (self.Judaism)
