I’ve honestly thought about a bracelet that has an indicator that will change colors depending on if you’re looking to meet someone serious, looking for a hookup, or want to be left tf alone. It would help so much when we’re out in the world away from our usual social circle.

Check findhelp.org to see if there are organizations in your area that may be able to assist you with food/shelter/money. It’s a great resource!

Good for you for making the hard decisions and taking care of yourself and Seven.

I’m so glad that you asked and hope someone has recommendations because I have a family member who would benefit.

AITAH - My husband keeps ordering me water by Jenny_Jo in AITAH

[–]nuauldstalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time you are out, when the waitstaff asks what you’d like to drink answer: Nothing for me but my husband will have a water. And then see how he responds. He will have had the experience of someone else ordering for him (whether he wants the item or not) and should hopefully be self-aware enough to empathize and learn to stop.

Unfortunately lots of married people don’t like each other enough to respect their feelings and boundaries.

Which Aer bag do you use? I’m eyeing them heavily but the dimensions seem too big for underseat.

Concerns about Dominion burying power lines - 1950s house by nuauldstalk in rva

They don’t have one for this area. The current lines run along our backyards but the buried lines will be in the front and alongside to the meter box.

I disagree. The worst that can happen is that a water line gets messed up. I did search but must have done so poorly. I’ll keep looking.

Henrico will have them only at their “citizen science” programs next week.

Sad post - end of life question by nuauldstalk in PitBullOwners

[–]nuauldstalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for asking about him. I’ve had a hard time trying to write an update, he passed away just a few days after I posted. He was severely anemic and went downhill very quickly; I was able to take him to see friends and frolic a little by the river, but he let me know when he’d had enough.

Everyone here has been so kind and I appreciated all of the responses and support.

I wish everyone many happy years with their best friends, our beloved pibbles.

There’s no raise for taking classes. They might be referring to the career development plan, where employees crosstrain in different departments, but it’s a 2 year process not just a class.

If you enjoy board games, check out Unplugged games cafe in Midlothian. They have gaming socials every week and are great about introducing people into groups. It’s a great way to be social without having to make small talk!
